I am an unlimited Master in the shipping industry.

Ships, tugs, and other commercial vessels have the best magnetic compasses money can by. These compasses are backed up with very expensive and precise motorized gyro compasses. All of them are professionally tuned by men trained to do such a task. All of these compasses are required by law to monitor and record all dviation and variation, where ever they go. Which by the way, is all over the world.

I have yet to see, experience, or hear of any abnormal variation happening anywhere. On top of that, all local magnetic variations are well known and are charted on nautical publications put out by governments the world over then compared with real time data from ships and airliners. Still no abnormal variation.

So far nothing has changed, anywhere. But that doesn't mean your house isn't spinning. LOL!

Trust me. I'll be the first to let you guys know if earth magnetism is going haywire. At least where I'm at in the world. My Mates monitor and record it twice a day.

What I have not done though, and I should, is compare older variation from a couple years ago with current variation to see if there's any big swing there over time. That would definitely be an indicator.

And that's not to say there couldn't be a local anomaly where the OP is. Not refuting the OP by any means. Places like Sedona Arizona have very strong magnetic fields the flux wildly.

And we all know shit is fucked up. We know the poles are starting to move around.

I have personally witnessed random compass behavior in the Lake Superior region in several places. There are large bodies of iron ore there. The compass doesn't spin, but will give false readings and reading that contradict each other after walking as little as 50 yards (or 50 meters).

You know I've got a gut feeling that a few of the recent posters here may not have seen the video.

Am I correct? Because if not I've entered a parallel universe where I've got a thread discussing ACTUAL magnetic anomalies, and the sort of compass one might use for navigation.

To think I wasted my weeks ration of vegetables for you guys.

You leave me no choice but to raise the flag on my OWN thread.
