It's a complicated investigation. Separate threads make the discussion more focused on each, particular issue.

I'm not interested in a "wow-sandy-hook-it-was-a-FEMA-hoax" thread followed by some animated icons, a few "Yeps!" and a "What's next?"

This is one of the most important American stories of our century, or so I believe.

What's the rush to abandon the topic? We haven't even begun to crack the case yet (though have laid some great groundwork). But this could, like the Kennedy case, take decades.

This doesn't actually specify shot only once in the head, does it? It only says shot in the forehead, leaving unsaid how many times shot. Reporters these days do not seem concerned with specifics or accuracy in their reporting. Most reporting these days is about reporting the emotional reactions to what happened, not reporting details of what happened.

His mother, Nancy Lanza, was found shot through her forehead by a .22-caliber rifle left in her second-floor bedroom. Nearby was a blue-and-white duffel bag containing 50 rounds of rifle ammo, ear protection, eye protection, binoculars, paper targets and a certificate from the National Rifle Association bearing Adam Lanza's name.

The main thing this article did for me is specify the location of the rifle and imply it was in fact the .22 weapon used to shoot her. The warrants list another .22 (Volcanic starter pistol) on the premises, but this article suggests it was in fact the rifle (Savage Mark II) that caused her death. This rifle, according to the warrant, has only one spent cartridge and three unfired bullets.
