They changed the Designator for the IRAQI DINAR! "IQD"...is now "IQN!" WTF?

When are these things gonna take off? I've got like a 10,000,000 marked note with Saddams smiling face on it just sitting waiting.

You better hope you don't have notes with Saddams mug on them. They are notes from before the invasion and are worthless. The notes people are holding are the note that were printed after the fall of saddam and do not have his picture.

In regard to this IQN that has caused such a stir (including from myself initially).

However, I did a bit of simple googling and seems this 'rate' has been around in that website's system since 2006 - ie the 'New" iraqi dinar that replaced the notes with Saddam's mug.

You can see from this thread from 2006 that a user is recommending to other people that they sign up to the site for free and use the IQN code in order to track what they then thought would be a precursor to a revalue..

We're dogs chasing our tails. History repeating itself...I hope it's not true this time but only time will tell.
