Republican Peter King, who heads house security panel, urges extradition of ex-CIA operative who fled to Hong Kong

"One of America's top lawmakers has demanded the extradition of Edward Snowden, the whistleblower at the centre of the US National Security Agency (NSA) internet data tapping scandal.

Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee, said that no country should grant asylum to Snowden, who is believed to be holed up in a Hong Kong hotel.

Snowden reportedly travelled to Hong Kong in mid-May from where he revealed top-secret documents over the NSA's covert Prism spy programme. The whistleblower, an ex-CIA adviser, did not "expect to see home again," according to an interview with The Guardian."

Let me make my "prediction":
- This petition is just like a fart in the wind. It will sink on its own
- This man, Edward Snowden, will be hunted down and cornered somewhere.
- The media will focus like crazy on the "traitor" figure. It doesn't matter what he revealed, it only matters he is a criminal and a traitor. He revealed and proved that the government is a criminal and IS SPYING on us, but it DOESN'T MATTER, the only problem is him revealing it.

It is a new "Manning" case all over again.

Intelligence officials overheard joking about how NSA leaker should be 'disappeared'

"A group of intelligence officials were overheard yesterday discussing how the National Security Agency worker who leaked sensitive documents to a reporter last week should be 'disappeared.'

Foreign policy analyst and editor at large of The Atlantic, Steve Clemons, tweeted about the 'disturbing' conversation after listening in to four men who were sitting near him as he waited for a flight at Washington's Dulles airport.

'In Dulles UAL lounge listening to 4 US intel officials saying loudly leaker & reporter on #NSA stuff should be disappeared recorded a bit,' he tweeted at 8:42 a.m. on Saturday.

According to Clemons, the men had been attending an event hosted by the Intelligence and National Security Alliance."

Is any of that reason not to make a stand of some sort?

I agree with you, but fuck Obama. A petition is a middle finger to his administration.

A petition is what it is, a petition. Remember when you were a kid and you asked for that toy so much, and your daddy said "NO"? Well, its the same case, the difference is that your daddy didn't had the means to buy you the toy, Obama doesn't have the will to give the pardon.
Whenever you and everyone else realize that there's no way out of the system, inside the system, the sooner we will advance to a new, better world.

You completely misunderstand the point of my posting this, and you are also making a pretty big assumption about my character.

I've already said that signing this petition should be motivated by the desire to give the finger to the administration. Of course it won't be successful.

Given this, there's no reason for you to think that I believe we can change this system from within it's current limits. In fact, if you do a thread and post search for my username you'll get a pretty good idea of where I stand politically.

My sincere appoligies then. I do understand your point, to protest, to at least try to make our voices be heard, to make "they" understand that we are pissed. I do understand your(our) dander against the government. I just think that protests should not be made like this. Creating a petition or a twitter hashtag will do nothing. We have to do what the guys from OWS did, but intensified, with more people, tens of thousands more, we need to make the government bow to us, not the other way around. They are the ones working for us, not the other way around. Our voice must be heard, not the other way around. Our will should be done, and not... well, you get the point.

Accepted. hf

I agree with you about the action that should be taken. I'd just say that all sorts of action should be taken. The regime should be bombarded from all angles - petitions, protests, legal challenges, shake-up of the party elite, voting in new politicians, everything. As far as I'm concerned, there's no reason to limit the kinds of action we take in our attempt to take back government. They're fighting without pulling their punches - so should we.

Is there any reason to have enthusiasm to vote for Slow Joe? Since the Demo ratic Party has gone full on retard, Slow Joe Dementia will have to try to defend the indefensible.

1) Replacing the Trump tax cuts with massive tax increases
2) Full health care for illegals
3) Open borders & taking the wall down
4) Banning fracking & destroying the US energy industry for the Green New Deal
5) Re-instituting the Iran Deal
6) De-fund SS & Medicare

So now that the demo rats are considered ridiculously stupid, and cannot handle even the simple things, Slow Joe will be seen clearly as a man that is out of touch! Legibly be seen as Slow Joe Dementia!
