Why is this getting so much coverage from the MSM? Well, what would happen if they didn't cover it?

Think about it... Snowden is sitting on top of A LOT of information. If he isn't satisfied with how this issue is being covered, what might he choose to reveal?

What might he know about various government officials or the executives and reporters of these MSM companies?

Snowden went to 5 different community colleges and didn't finish even one computer class. He took an online computer security class and a Windows Server 2000 class and didn't even finish those.

I'm now really angry at how incompetent admissions at schools and businesses are. Why didn't Dell and Booz confirm this guy's resume? Every place I was ever hired called my schools and previous workplaces.

Amen - why aren't we vetting this guy? Shouldn't the likes of Chis Todd be asking details about his 'top security clearance' and how he got it and when he can produce the paperwork that he got that documented his access? How about asking how he got past normal security to access any data that was classified without being tracked or at least having accomplices? How did he get any clearance in 3 months? What is so extraordinary about his resume that qualified him for a 122k job? Did he score really really high on his GED?
I've been a database programmer for 20 years. I was granted a Confidential Security clearance by the FBI for a job with the Gov. It took 6 months (and the FBI interviewed everyone I knew including my neighbors) and my clearance is the lowest you can get - yet Snowden got such a high level of clearance that he could tap the President's phone 'from his desk' after 3 months as a contractor on the job. He is an idiot - though no one seems to be questioning anything he asserts. 'From his desk' - where else? sure, it sounds like that underscores the ease of his access, but it also underscores how little he knows about how programmers actually work.

None of this seems to be relevant - somehow. Why don't we at least ask him his job title and his job history. This bloke is too uninformed about systems in general (and the ease of which you can compromise a database). Finally - did he sign a confidentiality agreement - I did and disclosure of any information about my job carried a prison sentence. I'm still here and the Snow-job in enjoying 'personal freedom' in China that we don't have in the US.
His self-aggrandizing is transparent, his ignorance of the real systems world is breathtaking.

Hooray - thanks for being so clear about my position (see my rant) I'm with you - let's see how this idiot got into a position of trust anywhere (and how the hell did anyone pay him 122k?) I've been a database programmer for over 15 years, I have an MS and Oracle Professional certifications and I hold a Confidential Security clearance from the FBI. I've never made that much in my career (perhaps the MS went too far??? a GED might have carried more weight apparently).

I believe it's a hoax too. Snowden is even a fake name. So while we don't know the real name even of this man, if you watch the interview, he's lying his way through it about what he did.
He's also so incredibly nervous he's having problems breathing and you can hear him swallow.

We don't even know if he was ever in hong kong. The room gives no indication. As far as I'm concerned that could be anywhere including never to have left Hawaii.
