Stealing is one thing, but you have to expect a free drink here and there... I am still wondering why OP wants to beat their asses over this so bad. It's not his business, just report it and be done... and yes i don't understand why the restaurant business in America gets away without paying their employees. Well if your good at it you can make some decent money. Tips are never really an issue with me unless dealing with certain types of people who don't understand how to fucking tip. true, but I just don't think one should have to put in a hard nights work not knowing if they're actually going to get paid...seems to me most restaurant owners I know could afford to pay decent wages, they live quite large... The entire concept of having your patrons pay for your employers is quite baffling to me...who started this practice? -The mafia?  -and to restate again , I do tip...and would any way... matter of fact paid $20 for a $9.37 bill tonight(it was $0.25 wing night during happy hour!!!)...granted not a ton, but percentage wise, more than adequate... Your a good person. My best was a couple that came in to eat during the slow time between lunch and dinner. They had an infant with them and I mentioned how he looked like my son at that age. We got to talking about things, I thought nothing of it really. The bill was about $30. and they had written $100. in the tip line. They were gone before I even had a chance to thank them again for their generosity.
