I had no alcohol in my possession. But I blew a .02 when a Breathalyzer was shoved in my face. My parents have really taken all my freedom away because of it. I got a ticket for underage drinking. Which I did but I want to show my parents I can beat this because I feel I was the only sober one at the party and now I have court. I was taking care of people and now I am a criminal. any advise on how to regain my graces. the tell tell signs of a slacker, always blaming someone else. |

Cops don't just randomly go door to door in neighborhoods knocking on doors looking for parties unless someone complained. Face it....you guys got too loud. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 41486439 United States 06/19/2013 09:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You said your BAC was .02. That's no where near intoxicated. Did you intend to hop in the family car and go on a joyride???? Where did the alcohol come from. Did an adult buy it for you. Underage drinking laws are ridiculous IMO. You could have one beer and end up with a misdemeanor against you. BTW how can a child be fined they are the sole responsibility of the parent? |

Thanks for showing the youth of America your reasoning ability. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26396568 Laws like this are local laws, so most of the posters can't answer your questions as they are not local, some are in other countries... So try a local lawyer. So much for your reasoning ability! Generally, once you let the cops in, they can pretty much do whatever they want, especially if a law has been broken. It part of their job to investigate if you are guilty, thus the breathalyzer. |
