It's a new med by Merck. Vet says Frontline Plus is not longer effective on the new super fleas. He is suggesting Activyl, the only thing the animal hospital carries now.

Looks like it's only been around for a year or two.

Has anyone used it or have an experiences with it they can relate? Thanks.

No.

STOP paying for toxic deadly chemicals to "clean" your pets with.

Use Dawn, Gain, Ajax to clean your cats or dogs. Leave the soap in and the bugs will drown. Add Borax if you wish which is natural and also kill bugs, but you must leave the soapy solution on their hair for like 5-10 minutes to really kill the fleas.

Fleas die by drowning, so just make sure they don't have the capacity to move or breathe in the soapy lather for some time.

Reviews seem mixed... the few I've seen say it's horrible and didn't work at all or it's wonderful and worked as described. So... not sure, looks about 50/50.

I'd guess it would depend on your dog's grooming habits, outdoor activity, flea infestation quantity (alot or a little) and your overall house cleanness and flea amount.

In summary, if you are a slob and have a bad flea infestation, with carpets, beds, etc all infested, I'm assuming this product may need help to work properly... such as cleaning the house and beddings throughly to prevent fleas from coming back.

If you wash your dog and vacuum/wash bedding frequently... I assume the product will be more effective.

Good luck!

Most products are for fucking fools. They are scams or needless.

Straws are nice, they are useful. Let's fill the world with bendy straws, hard plastic straws, straws that are twisted, straws that collapse, straws that have caps.. The world is full of NEEDLESS and stupid shit.

Always search online,

The more we trust the shit on the shelves the more lost and unhealthy we become. healthy people, happy people, grow their own food, have a balanced lifestyle, research everything before putting trust in a product, look for natural and non-toxic ways to do things, etc.

IT'S THE FUCKING INTERNET! USE IT, BUT USE IT WISELY!

Flea killer = soap + water + time = WORKS

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. Look up "ataxia" and Actyvil. It can and does have some horrible side effects. Poison control has been called several times in our area.

I used it today on my Tibetan Spaniel and all fleas were gone in a few hours.
It's the only product that worked so far. I tried everything, shampoo's, collars etc. but nothing worked.

Does anyone know a natural and effective tick repellant for dogs which is safe for cats? Some tick repellants are harmful and/or fatal to cats. I have a dog who goes out and gets ticks and an indoor cat who never goes out, but the dog and cat groom each other and are love-bugs.

Re: Has anybody used the new Flea med Actyvil on their pet yet?
Repellent for your pets:

For pets, add 1 cup of water to a spray bottle, followed by 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Ticks hate the smell and taste of vinegar, and will be easily be repelled by this ingredient alone. Then, add two spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil, which both contain sulfur (another natural tick repellent).

To make a repellent that will also deter fleas, mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice, citrus oil, or peppermint oil, any of which will repel ticks and fleas while also creating a nicely scented repellent. Spray onto the pet's dry coat, staying away from sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals. When outdoors for an extended period, spray this solution on two to three times per day.
