Aliens in Celtic History and Legend: Cases from Britain

... translates various mediaeval texts from the 11th through to the 15th century, mostly from Old Welsh (she holds degrees in Mediaeval British language). She highlights anomalies within the texts which might allude to contact with others.

So, did the Celtic people of the mediaeval period really know a thing or to about alien visitors? Westwind highlights three possible alien groups who might have been in contact. The denizens of Annwfn (left) are Lords of the Underworld, from a subterranean place somewhere west of Ireland, whose magical realm is accessed via a glass tower. They resemble, perhaps, an early Arthurian version of Sitchin's Anunnaki, confined to an underground base and meddling in human affairs for their own political gain.

Then there are the sky gods - a second category of aliens known either as the Eingl (angels) or Gwyrda (gentlemen) - the arrival of whose ships precede natural disasters in Britain. Anglo-Saxon chronicles mention a 'dragon star', and something known as a 'wolcen', which is a cloud-like object. Either of these might be ancient descriptions of UFOs.

Really, the more I look at the circle, the more I think it looks 'celtic' in the sense of artistic design. Actually, like a drawing from that time only in a wheat field. But not just any wheat field - the place is something special, not only for crop circle fans.

The time glass, depending on where you look at it from either shows time is running out or time is beginning.

And in the background of the hourglass - what is that? An eye?

No I cant but if I were to speculate, I would say it's an eye.

If we speculate further, combining all we have come up with about the letters, hour glass, and the "eye". Could the message be a sort of a time of awakening? Time running out or "time is now" to awake? Open your eyes? Third eye perhaps? A spiritual awakening?

Like I said, this is only speculation.

Of course this is all just pure speculation and the circle possibly faked, but interesting in any case.

Arise, time has come, the all-seeing eye, somehow fits well into the current Zeitgeist.

Btw. The transverse lines of the runes are arranged as a 5-star (pentagram).

If these aliens have been visiting Earth for decades/centuries and they are leaving these very nice and artistic pictures around, they would know by now that we dont understand a damn thing what they are trying to tell us, and, they surely should have learnt some common language ?
