I do believe god / gods are more powerful than me (duh right?) but have always looked forward to fighting alongside them for good, not strumming away at a harp. I have always liked the idea of a God or set of God's that interact and are like man, in that they have motivations, etc. I admired it as a high school student studying Greek mythology, and have often found that that was when I began to question Christian on its basis. I have more I could surely explain, but am attempting to keep this brief until someone is able to lend some general advice. "Cattle die, kinsmen die; the self must also die. I know one thing which never dies: the reputation of each dead man." - Hávamál, st. 77 |

Study all the religions, take the good ideas, leave the bad... And most importantly keep an open mind and think critically. Most religions frown upon these two qualities, but they will serve you better in the long run! There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened. |
