down here it is looking bad, too, but nothing on the weather map so far. Thunderstorms are predicted for the night - I just hope it doesn't get too severe.

NW AR, Is right in the upper rotation band on this system right now, most of the heavvy weather should dissipate as it passes through Oklahoma before it hits you. You should be seeing Tstorms in a couple of hours.

This looks a lot like what you had the other night 2X, Your in the inner band that's creating the cells near Abilene right now. that system will probably rotate through Austin towards Houston later this evening. I'd say run out and stock up on chocolate now. LOL

LOL MM - thanks for the heads up. I'd hate to have a night without chocolate!

I'm supposed to be going out with friends tonight. Hopefully we'll get out before it hits us.

Omega - you stay safe. It's that time of year here!

I looked at a larger map and see the stuff over Central Texas - I have a feeling this one is going to die before it gets here. We didn't get very hot today and it will be much later before this stuff makes it way down here. It's when it has gotten hot that I worry when these fronts move through.

But Austin is looking kinda scary!

Austin always looks scary, with all the commie hippy pinko new age freaks, but thats another story. LOL.

Seriously, Austin is cool.

Thanks for the heads up MM. I am 40 miles east of Austin and these storms have a nasty habit of intensifying on the way to Houston.

And yes I am in a poor white trash mobile home on a small ranch, LOL. If it gets too hairy I'll have to bail.

I don't think it's going to be as bad as the other night in your area 2X, there shouldn't be the high winds and hail from what I'm watching right now. Anything that comes in wouldn't hit 'til later tonight.

LOL Omega, life would be boring without a few of us rednecks runnin' around.

I don't think your going to see any tornadoes there, most of that is heading to your NW. I'm just watching this next inner band forming that could bring Tstorms to you and 2x in a few hours. Ok seems to bee getting the worst of the hail and the winds in the outer band.

the "hour by hour" forecast is showing possible storms from 7 to 11 pm and then a break until about 3 am. I think the 3 am stuff will be worse from looking at the map.

That sounds 'bout right 2x, that must be the same band that I'm looking at then. The good thing is that parts of Tx. are getting some rain that they've been needing for a while. I think the biggest problem with this system is going to be flash flooding, Ok and Ar are going to get there share as well.

Once again all of the excitement is elsewhere.

All we've had today is rain. We had snow on Tuesday. That was interesting.

Yea, that should be what your seeing this evening while your out, just a good rain and a bit of a light show.

You can see the outer system and inner system better here in the WV loop.

They just updated the tornado watch for northern Tx. and southern Ok. so all of the heavy stuff should be way to your north.

86821, I'd rather have snow(in April?) rather then severe weather any day. Ever think of moving southeast a couple of states over. You'd be like a kid in a candy store.LOL

That tornadoe in ND was a bit strange.
