Being famous is a curse unless you enjoy abuse.

He started out as a harmless teen idol. After too much over-exposure, the ridicule from a social audience found it's target.

I'm certain his behavior is being reactively driven by all the hatefulness.

He's wildly successful in his genre. He could stand some time off and a chance to rework his approach.
