Question: How many of you honestly opt out of the TSA scan when you fly?
I fly about every 7 to 10 days for work. That's much more than the average person. I receive 3 to 4, free round trip tickets each year for my sky miles, and I use multiple airlines.

I fly all over the states. I hate it. Flying is fun but airports suck. The TSA sucks. Some people suck.

What really bothers me though is NOBODY ever opts out of the scan. Out of all the airports I have transited, I have only seen one or two people actually Have the balls to opt out. By my observations, I'd have to say 99.9999% of all passengers submit to the scan like a coward. And this is since the scanners were implemented. Only a couple people have opted out out of all the thousands I have witnessed.

Funny thing is, there is a big sign right when you enter the scanner that explicitly states "this scanner is purely OPTIONAL" yet the mindless drones line up and get their DNA blasted with backscatter X-rays. Deservedly so I guess.

I have never taken the scan. Not once. About 40% of the time I actually move through the checkpoint FASTER than the dumb sheep getting scanned. Idiots actually DELAY themselves even more to get scanned. Amazing.

So...not sure how many of you here at GLP fly, but for those of you who do, do you opt out? And if not, why? Be honest. If you claim to opt out I will be skeptical.

I don't fly. I have no reason to for one, but I wouldn't fly because I refuse to surrender my 4th amendment rights just so some TSA Nazi can zap me or handle the goods. What they are doing has nothing to do with security and everything to do with control and conditioning the public to accept being treated like cattle.

If I need to get somewhere, I'll drive myself.

Me and my wife did it twice about a month ago when flying from Chicago to Knoxville. I saw no one else opt out either. Sad!!! I have opted out all times when asked to go through the scanners.

I agree. Many times I rent a car. But I have to fly. I sacrifice myself for my kids.

Usually I'll save up all my morning gas. When the queer ass ex-con TSA agent starts patting me down I let it rip. kinda disgusting but it seems to make them move faster.

I've never been faced in a situation when I had to walk through the scanner, but I would totally opt out. I would rather get felt up than go through that radiation. who knows what studies will come out some years from now saying how much more harmful it is.

If more folks were like you and your spouse then the scanners would go away.

Its as simple as everyone opting out. It would end the scanners overnight.

Studies have already been done. Which is why scanners are illegal in many countries.

I have actually seen TSA goons crowd around a monitor when a young girl is getting scanned.

I wonder how many TSA goons have taken screen shots of girls getting scanned. It has to be irresistible for them. Must be in the thousands.

Opt out every time I fly.
Even had one agent ask me why I wouldn't get scanned.
Replied because you should only get one scan like that in your lifetime.
Her reply, government says it's safe.

Yea. I've had the same thing and argued with them.

I've told them they are at risk standing by the scanners all day. I've tried to inspire people around me in line to opt out but they just stared at me like a dairy cow.

I had one agent tell me in confidence that I was smart for opting out.

He was like get the hell out of here. I suppose I could push the issue in the future. Maybe cause a problem for them.

They used to do that to further intimidate the sheep. But now they say it over a radio. I think it was backfiring on them cause they were just advertising the option to out.

They don't ask for ID but I'm sure they can match you to one of the many video images they have of you and then match it to your passport. It mostly involves a pat down with a paper wipe they use to scan for chemicals related to bomb making and no doubt narcotics...

yeah they just resort to searching you the old fashioned way. it's not like they put you on a no-fly list or anything. you're clear once the pat-down is done and explosive residue check is completed.

I opt out everytime and I fly a lot. Also I am always sure to wear a Ron Paul, Constitution or a "Come and take it" t-shirt when I travel.

I am polite while the grubby agent is fondling me but I also make comments the entire time such as "I bet you like a job where you get to grope citizens and violate our rights dontcha?" and/or "every right you steal from us today in the name of duty will be taken from you in the name of security tomorrow" and/or "you think you're immune to tyranny?! your rights are gone just like mine?!" The TSA nazis always walk away from me with their heads down in shame. I am 99% positive I made one cry one time and YES I am proud of that BTW....

The pat down is standard. Same thing every time. Some TSA crooks try to make a display out of it. They're just pathetic drones though.

People don't realize that TSA has no real authority. If they have a problem they have to call the police.

I fly 7-10 times a year.

I have opted out every time. The pat down guy was always polite.

But I have yet to see anyone else opt out in all these years.

I'm willing to bet that those who are too scared to opt out are also to scared to comment on it in a forum.

If you wondered why our nation is ruined its because of fear. Cowardly people.
