That's an awesome video OP, I think the biggest problem with the deception is that people (mostly women) are listening way to much to other people instead of the heads in their own homes. Following after their own desires.
When you find a piece of shit along side the road and you poke it with a stick, what do you expect to find inside of it, gold?
No, it's just going to stink more.

Jesus explains how HE will judge the people.

Read carefully Matthew 25:31-46. Notice HE judges based on LOVE and HATE. The ones who loved HE judges as sheep. The ones who HATE He judges as goats.

People better wake up and get this, it's not about a list of laws, it's about LOVE and it's really that simple. Stop preaching a false gospel.

The Sheep and the Goats

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ <------these people loved.

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ <------these people did not love.

“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
The new covenant is this: Jesus replaces all animal sacrifices for sin as the perfect spotless sacrifice, the lamb of God. Jesus also replaces the Levite priesthood in it's entirety as our new high priest by the order of Melchisedek. The veil was rent in the temple, we can go straight to Jesus as our high priest as mediator to God the Father, who is now in a heavenly tabernacle, not needing an earthly physical one. That's the new covenant - not that we can now engage sin all we want! This is all explained in the book of Hebrews, but the churches have taught this cheap grace doctrine instead of paying attention to Jesus himself.

Lisa the law is not bondage, that's a lie I'm sorry but it is. Am I placing myself under bondage because I don't kill steal or commit adultery?! Serious! Do I make mistakes some times - yes. Do I then repent of them - yes, and this time the blood of Jesus covers the sin, not that of an animal.

We're stuck on this one, because you are absolutely convinced we are not under the law and I am absolutely convinced that Jesus said what he meant in Matt 5:18 - not the smallest letter fails until heaven and earth pass away. You pretty much said you don't care what 1 John has to say about commandment keeping because you've already made up your mind which is a shame. You won't read Heb 10 or anything I post because you've decided it's completely wrong. I'm not even bringing Paul in to this, I'm looking at the scriptures and most importantly what Jesus himself said to do. I don't know that there's anything I can show you, but in my walk with Jesus he has laid the law on my heart, to seek righteousness and die to the óld man', the sin man, and TRY (not being perfect) to be a good disciple and walk like my master.
 Quoting: Jerichofall

Please read the thread I posted "Faith Without Works is Dead". I explain it all very clearly there.

I have read Hebrews 10 many many many times, read the whole bible over and over again. Please read my thread and the words of Jesus Himself. This is about what HE said, not what you say or what I say.

Lisa I pray for you every day. I know you have a great heart for the Lord and people here, and I salute what you do truly. We have different beliefs on the law, there's no point contending with each other if we have made up our minds... truly there isn't. I made this thread not to start a fight with you, we're on the same team. There's many Christians who have beliefs they are stuck on that I may have the complete opposite idea - I might be wrong, they may be wrong, but we still are committed servants to Jesus Messiah, and we bless each other do what we have each been lead to do. God bless you :-)

and

Galatians 5

Freedom in Christ

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. “A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough.” I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty. Brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
Life by the Spirit

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other."

Good luck with that Daniel. You're going to have to live perfectly under the entire old testament law.......because you will be judged by it.

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
The standard of right and wrong is LOVE. Very simple.

Jesus's words in John 13:34 "I give you a new commandment--to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another."

It really is that basic. :)

If you are one of the people that believe that you have to keep the OT law to be saved, then you must keep all of it because you will be judged by it.

If you believe that Jesus died for your sins to set you free, then you're under the new covenant, that of love and grace. Practice LOVE in your life, and let the Holy Spirit be your guide.

hf
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

Jesus did give that new commandment, but never said it abolished all before it. If you love your neighbour, you won't steal from them or sleep with your neighbours wife, nor will you covert their life. So the law hangs from these. Have a look at the short video Lisa it's only 7 minutes hf
 Quoting: Jerichofall

The word "NEW" signifies that it's different from the "OLD". We are under a new covenant.........one of Love & Mercy through Jesus Christ.

I will not watch the video, because I've already done all my homework and research on this topic, and I know the answer.

Considering it again would be moving backwards.

There's many Christians who have beliefs they are stuck on that I may have the complete opposite idea - I might be wrong, they may be wrong, but we still are committed servants to Jesus Messiah, and we bless each other do what we have each been lead to do. God bless you :-)

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
If I may, why do you think Yeshua told us this from Matthew 23?

23 Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples, 2 saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses; 3 therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them.

From our Messiah's own Words He is telling us to "Do and observe what they (Rabbi's and teachers of Torah) are reading from "Moses seat" the place in the Synagogue where Torah is read but not to do it as they do it as they have added burdensome, man-made "rules" to the Torah.

Also, Acts 15

19 Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, 20 but that we write to them that they abstain from [j]things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. 21 For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since [k]he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Shalom!

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
Notice the gentile sinners, the Samaritan, the thief on the cross, the prostitute, the tax collector, the adulterer..........all considered in good standing with God because of their heart condition, their love, repentance and humility before God and fellow man.

Notice, the Pharisees were considered in bad standing with God because of their heart condition, their lack of love, their pride, their self righteousness through law keeping, and their ignorance before God and fellow man.

The Pharisees kept the law. The gentile sinners didn't.

Who did Jesus save and bless? Look at the big picture here.

He saved the humble sinners, and condemned the self righteous Pharisees.

What is self righteousness? Thinking that you can save yourself, that you can be God yourself.

Not one of us can save ourselves, forgive our own sins, it's ONLY through the work of Jesus Christ that we are saved, our faith in Him and obedience to His requirements of Faith and Love.

Everything else is worthless, futile and self serving.

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
We who choose to obey our Heavenly Father's loving instructions for life do not and I repeat DO NOT do so to be "saved". We do it out of love for Him. The Torah teaches that the sacrifice or shedding of blood of animals does not save us, we are now and always have been saved by faith. It is all though the "Old Testament" that faith is what saves us. We are not saved by works but by faith. Those of us who have repented of lawlessness and have returned to the original faith set forth by the Apostles of Messiah, the early church if you will. Messiah Yeshua is our atonement for sin ie: lawlessness and we are sanctified by our obedience to His Word. The Creator of the Universe Word is not dead or changed. Get more familiar with the front of the Book, it will make the back of the book so much easier to understand. There is so much and not enough room here to elaborate. But I can tell you this...You must know the front of the Book or you will never fully understand the back.

Shalom, Shalom

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
I think the whole problem here regarding the law is:

The law encompasses much more than the 10 commandments:

Men are you shaving your beards?
Do any of you eat shrimp, bacon, oysters, etc?
Do you go to church on saturday or sunday?
do you do ANY physical activity on the Sabbath?
do you observe all of the feasts and sacrifices for atonement of sin?

If you are a typical Christian in today's society (disclaimer there are those who do strive to keep the whole law, even the most minute), you are disobeying most of the old testament law.

There are a whole whole lot more, these are just common "infringements" of the law. If you put yourself under one part of the law, you put yourself under the WHOLE law. It is written that NO ONE can fulfill every jot and tittle of the law, Jesus did that.

I think there are two opposing views:

Those that say: "law is fulfilled, I can do as I wish, since I am saved, and grace will lead me"

and those that say "you cannot do anything you wish, law will not pass away"

Both are partial interpretations: Law does not pass away, this is correct. But since Jesus fulfilled every jot and tittle and was an atonement for sin on our behalf, we are free from having to perform every single iota of the law (i.e. no eating of shelfish, barbeque, bacon, allowed to go to church on sunday, playing a sport on sunday, not having to sacrifice lambs and goats and doves)

Now, by saying that you MUST follow the law, there again, you put yourself under the WHOLE of the law.

If you love your God with all of your heart, you fulfill the first part of the 10 commandments, if you love your neighbor as yourself, you fulfill the 2nd part. Jesus fulfilled the rest

Re: If God's law has passed, what sins are you repenting for??
God's law has not passed away, nor will it ever. God has placed it in the hearts of every believer.

God's law's are pure and just, however, the law cannot save you. If it were possible then Jesus died in vein. According to scriptures, the law was our schoolmaster to lead us to Christ. we are no longer under the law, but under Grace.

Please do not try to put us under the yoke of the law once again - Jesus came to fulfill the law, for we could not, and He has set us Free.

A true born again Christian does not willfully break God's law, but we establish it by love.

Mat 22:37-40

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets

Gal 5:13-14
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

and Russ,

I really do not think that dates have anything to do with it. The calendar has been changed many times throughout history and it has no bearing on your eternal salvation...
