Remember the salem witch trials? we KNOW that was stupid, but now we're doing the same thing all over again. In the absence of physical evidence or eye witnesses it is unlikely a crime has been committed, yet the vast majority of these cases are tried or prosecuted with neither, making anyone who doesn't have protection a potential victim of a destructive accusation.

It is a fact that the witnesses of these crimes [and falsely alleged crimes!] are by their nature usually only the child who was abused, and that child witness is not accountable to perjury laws when giving testimony. This gives a weapon that can be used to destroy anyone with little effort.

Since the accusation is in many ways much worst than murder, the burden of proof on the prosecution should be very high and juries should be instructed properly that if reasonable doubt exists they must vote not guilty.

I hate anyone that preys upon innocent children without an ounce of remorse, and would gladly end their evil lives myself, but I happen to know that the vast majority of real child predators are protected and that a majority of those prosecuted are innocent victims of either unscrupulous women or pedophile rings targeting 'problems'.

Anyone who thinks a child cannot be bribed,, coerced or threatened to lie is simply naive and stupid . It makes me shudder every time i hear a Dr. Phil graduate say 'a child would never lie about something like that"...right!.
