He was in my hometown of Quebec last week for a festival. And with Lac Megantic train disaster he offer to join with Sir Paul McCartney (he is having a show next week here) to raise money for the 50 deaths and 40% of downtown destroy (at Lac Megantic town)

Well then he just eliminated 50% of the nation for concert venues. 24 other states have a stand your ground law. The 25 that don't should show their appreciation for him by not buying tickets to his shows.

I think some of his music is good, but his recent stance has the same feel to it as when the whingers banded together to boycott Sun City South Africa. The situation hasn't turned-out too well for the people living there, but the hit and run grandstanders wouldn't know as they moved on to their next cause celebre.

The Zimmerman case was not tried on the basis of the "Stand Your Ground" law(s). They waived it because it is much easier to show innocence in a straight self-defense case than try to wade through the provisions of a "Stand Your Ground" case.

So if Stevie is protesting based on the Zimmerman case, he lacks even a basic understanding of what the case was about.

Celebs need to keep their pie hole shut in regards to their political opinions. Knowing their mindset stops me from watching their movies, listening to their music, etc. I cannot enjoy their art afterwards, they spoiled it. Dumbasses.

I also thought it was really lame when Los Lobos cancelled a show in Arizona because of some political crap, can't even remember what now, but about illegal immigration. I guess I still like them but it kind of made me sick why they had to get on a soap box about some anti-american crap.
