It's clearly not associated with any "proton spike" because I As well as others have been hearing this for quite awhile. It mostly happens later at night or early a.m. - cant remember hearing really in the day but others have heard it during the day. That's what seems so odd to me is it always happens at night when the sky is dark so you can't see anything if its not lit up.
