Would skittles dissolve enough for that? My understanding (from Wikipedia) is that hard candy (jolly ranchers) is normally used. But they aren't the same thing, skittles being a jell, with a hard coating.

I suppose that you could heat the mixture first, so that it might happen, but it seems that the store would have had a better candy product for the purpose. Lifesavers or something?

Then again, at some point in my life I'm almost certain that I bought all those ingredients at the same time, and didn't even know that this was a thing until a week ago.
