Thank you for the thread rev! Lol deja vu..wasn't the hurricane in August 2007 named Flossie? Wondering how that works... South shore Maui checking in here. Just want to remind everyone to be safe! We always get flooding here with big rains and looks like everyone taking it pretty serious this time. The road by our house washed out in 2007 and county crews out today (on a Sunday) already doing work. Just got back from the store and many people buying bottled water etc. They had every check stand open, never seen that before. Weather seems Beautiful right now a little windy but nothing too unusual. Ought to be a fun ride. Will keep you guys updated and post pictures if anything exciting. Hot and sunny here too. Next update from NOAA should be in 1/2 hour. Looking at the computer models, there is a chance that it slides right through between Maui and the Big Island and on into warmer waters. Hope it doesn't decide to make a right hand turn like Iniki did!
