They crushed the savage nordic invaders in hand to hand combat proving their superiority. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44182709 NO.....How about they were all traveling by boat for at least 6000 years. They want me to believe that God gave instructions on how to built a boat 6000 years ago and everyone forgot about it. I don't think so. Boy has evolution turned peoples minds into mush. |

You are right, though that has nothing to do with evolution, it does pertain to the fact that most of us think that we have only recently developed the technnology to travel by sea. Homo Sapiens is, according to scientists, at least 200000 years old, do you believe we spent about 190000 years without any really meaningful progress and then in just 10000 until now we made everything we know from the Neolithic until what we now have? It is no secret that vikings were probably the first to reach North America, Greenland has been inhabitaed by people for at least 4000 years and it's even closer to your continent than it is to Europe. Recently I've observed some history articles on magazines that say even the romans may have reached North America before it's alleged discovery more than 1000 years later. Another mistery is how the man who discovered Brazil has, according to history school manuals, risked his whole fleet and the hundreds of lives aboard those ships by making an 180 degree turn from his target destiny in India going instead towards what most people believed to be emptiness and in an age where such people supposedly thought the Earth was flat and you could fell from it if you reached the border. Again, all this strange behaviour, according to what we are now told was common knowledge back then leads me to belive that history, though not entirely fake, since at some point we started to record it, but at least very tampered with to the point that old truths have been systematically disregarded as nonsense. So with that logic, the supposed Yeti in Russia was in that land before the Russians, so where do they go? |

Maybe we can only assume because no one knows what happened to the evidence, but, the fact that someone is openly admitting that many civilizations (or people who belonged to them at least) went there before the colonization by modern europeans even if those unlikely sailors never returned home is an indicator that not everyone sleeps and truth surfaces even if it's only a tiny bit every once and again. As for the notion that modern humans are about at least 200000 years old I've seen recently that BBC is producing a series about the Atlantis myth. As someone who loves the study of history I can't wait for them to air it (yes even I do sometimes enjoy tv, though I'll most likely try to get it for free), also today I went to buy some books and came upon something called "The history of the first civilization" which seems to be topic related, I didn't bought it today but it will be my next literary acquisition.
