Things have not changed in many parts of the world. Muslim, Hindu and Bhuddist women still cover their entire bodies. I travel the world and have seen this with my own eyes.

What I find even more fascinating about 100-year old photos is how the women in them are unfailingly coyote-ugly!

No real fat people, but no one seems to be in really good shape either.

Without advancment of plastic surgery and make up, many woman today would look like the ones in those pictures except many will be FATTER today.

Here are the places where you can try this experience.

On the coast there are Italian secluded places where they found the nudists: Chiavari in Liguria, the beach is located at the base of the hill of Grace, before the Group of Salt, close to Punta Chiappa in Camogli. Also around Savona, there is a place known for naturist tourism: Centre Crena, including Varigotti and Noli. Also nudist beaches and reefs of Tellaro Guvano in the province of La Spezia.

Even on the shores of lakes and rivers there is some spot for nudists: Storm in the village of Torbole (Trento) and under the Ponte della Becca, Pavia, at the confluence of the Po and Ticino.

Bathing machines could really make a come back in the right location- they would just need a mini bar, microwave, and a tv for today's folk.

In so many old pictures people just looked happier, regardless of their "repression".

Now that I am almost 60, I wish that ankle-to-neck "cover all" swimsuits would come back into fashion! (And, BTW, I weigh 123, so I'm certainly not fat, but my bod sure ain't what it used to be!!!)
