What's the most delicious food you've ever eaten in your life?

I do the baked rainbow trout stuff with crab meat.

Chocolate Opera

(1) Steak in German Steak House
(2) Fudge, one batch made by an old woman at a county fair, 2nd batch made by a guy in a bakery. I have never been able to find/replicate these batches, wasted time/$ trying to though
(3) Ham hocks/navy beans & mungo beans that now deceased relatives made when I was young.
(4) Sirloin steak cooked by my father.
(5) Cheese pizza from some dive pizza place ordered/brought home by my grandmother many moons ago.

Most recently (cause it's so hard to pick just one!)

EGGS BENEDICT!!! A creamy hollandaise sauce, perfectly cooked egg that oozed as it was cut into, a slightly salty ham, and an english muffin crispy on the outside and soft on the outside. YUM!!! Had it first this last mothers day, and again yesterday on my birthday. Why did I never experience this mouth-watering loveliness before?!!

When I was like 12 I ate a very very very delicious meat but I don't remember what it was.... I've been trying to find it but I have not being lucky.

An Italian tomato soup my mom made all the time I was growing up. yummmmmmm, luckily I know how to make it, but it never tastes quite as good as her's did. And, as a dessert, a marshmallow mud sundae, with a warm brownie on the bottom, omg. Heaven.

There was this awesome wild salmon, studded with roasted hazelnuts and stuffed with brie that was amazing.

Also, very ripe, very sweet honeydew melon.

Mom's cooking!

She died over 30 years ago.

Often, when I'm around people who knew her, when cooking comes up they start talking about the way she cooked this or that. Could be roast, butter beans, brownies or chocolate pie they go on about.

Even as kids my brother & I were "grossed out" by fast food.

I, as most kids, wasn't a salad eater. The exception came whenever Mom made some "wilted salad" made from local spring fresh greens with bacon grease as the dressing and some other stuff in there that I can't remember.
