Just to let you know I'm teena, the daughter of the owner. As you see my Father had a collection of over a 102 year life, which he never told us about. .We found over 23 in one hidden room and others in walls, under the floors and even some in banks that were sent back to us after his death. I don't know anything but what I was told by my mother. The story is reposted on each box sold on eBay so you know the whole story were they came from, and what may or may not happen if you mess with it. Its not a toy or prop, Im selling them because we cant control them. Its said they pick there owners, so us selling them is letting them pick as well as the person whom knows how to keep them safe and away from the world. If they cant they have sent them back and then they look for a new home tell they find the right place. You don't need to open it to know if your not the right one! IT WILL LET YOU KNOW!

I think that hey may be tryin to get me to put this on here, since so much seem fake now I can't come up with any other reason.

I only bid once I was the one with 96 transactions I wish the backstory was true I'd still make a run at it in the end.

I have that exact same jewelry box. In fact, you can even see the rotating necklace hanger behind the large door, if you look at one of the photos closely.

It's obviously fake, but the artsy-craftsy part of me is very interested in knowing the process in which the seller made the box. ;-)

how to do it is called "antiquing", we did that in art class to things,so long ago i dont remember how though,mainly tools,fire,paint, and did anyone scroll down granpa gradys FB page,hes really into making things,sculpturs,weird dolls and all kinds of artsy things!

I just snapped some photos. Actually the doors and drawer positions on mine are slightly different, but the two jewelry boxes are so similar that I'm betting the same company made them. Mine used to be stained a cherry color, but it got scuffed up over the years, so I painted it white with pink flowers, and put pink scrapbook paper behind the glass doors. Age-wise, a relative gave me the jewelry box as a Christmas gift when I was a teenager, which would be some 30-ish years ago. I don't see a manufacturer name on it.

Cool! I've done some light distressing (see pics of my jewelry box, although it's definitely not my best work), but I've never done anything as extreme as that seller did. Fire, huh? With my luck, I'd burn the whole jewelry box up. ;-)

Such horse malarkey. Banks don't send back stuff to relatives after the person dies. I assume she means that it was in a security deposit box (what, did the bank let them store them in the vault?)

I've seen things with my own eyes, I don't care to try to prove anything though because I can't.

Also, have you ever watched "My Ghost Story, caught on tape?" It's a show on biography where people send in tapes of paranormal stuff they've caught on camera.

There seems to be a lot of these types of shows on TV. Anyway, they do have some pretty freaky videos on there. I know you will say I'm silly and it's all edited or whatever.

I don't necessarily believe everything I see or am told but I try to keep an open mind. As far as this box, I think it's a scam but who knows?

They are banking some serious dough on their little scam that's for sure. $15 bucks, maybe, to make box and conjure story.

and it "Just so happens" there is a dibbuk movie about this box (Possession) and it "just so happens that" what was written on the other box (Die Wiedergänger) [link to www.imdb.com] and it just so happens that there is 2 more 2$ movies by ghost house pictures that sell at Wal-Mart with the same storyline. The irony of these movies being released and the items being sold with same descriptions is far too ironic for my taste. The original box in its unadulterated form can be bought at the old bag factory complex in Indiana which "just so happens" to be down the road from the seller. Props to whoever thought of the idea though, definiteley lends some creedence to what other kind of creative ideas one could come up with for quick monetary gain. With that being said, monetary gain from anything relating to the projection of EVIL is going to be cursed.

It looks exactly the same as a jewellery box I bought my mum in 1995....the drawers, door and plinths are identical.

That one was also cursed - if any of us dared to open it we would be cast into the hell known as "pooper scooping duty" for a week.
