There are Immortals on the Planet now… :)
Peace
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42982398 Immortal in the physical sense. We are all immortal spirits, but I'm speaking of the physical body being immortal for believing Christians. But I know what you are talking about.... Quoting: S.O.S. If we are all immortal spirits, then why do we all die and why did Christ have to die for us, if we indeed, "continue on" after we die..... "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned"-Romans 5:12 Quoting: CelestialMaiden God created us in his own image. Eternal spirits - we were never meant to die, but because Adam and Eve sinned we all have that sinful nature. Except for Jesus/Yeshua who's father was not a man but from the Holy Spirit - So only Christ could save us since he had no sinful nature from Adam and Eve. He was God's perfect rescue plan.... Come to earth himself as a man, live a perfect life as an example living by faith in God in the Father only doing what he saw the Father do and then die for us in OUR PLACE if we accept that work on the cross for ourself. Yeshua was tried, found guilty of sin (wrongly but he did not defend himself since it was God's plan he pay the price) and paid the price for sin... it's paid in full and you can trade places with him and go to heaven because he paid for your and my sin. It was the only way God could make a way for us to go to heaven... die for our sins himself and then resurrect from the dead once he paid for sin with his mortal life. Now he rules in IMMORTAL DIVINE power and you and I can rule with him.... if we choose to believe in Him and his work of salvation. Where we spend our eternity is up to us and our choice as to if we accept the finished work of Christ on the cross. When Jesus/Yeshua told us of Lazuras and the dead man he said "there was a man" - an actual occurrence in Luke 16 of Lazuras going to Abraham's Bossom and awaiting the messiah. Luke 16: 1 1 Jesus told his disciples: “ There was a rich man...." now go and and read it yourself and see what happens after you die if you don't have the blood of Christ covering your sins.... Quoting: S.O.S. The account about Lazarus and the Rich man was symbolic-not literal
