This is really messed up, that over 14,000 Department Of Energy workers information got hacked recently. That would be a step to takedown the grid, would be to find out the workers info and what they do. See link below

The entire northern hemisphere? Well, if the "drill" is during daylight hours that means we're on the sun-facing side. A possible solar flare making a direct hit to the power grid caused from ISON swinging around the sun at that time?

Any word on what the southern half of the planet will be up to around these dates?

Ah yes. It's been quite a while since I've seen dates here on GLP.

Glad i'm not alone! It was the first thing that came to mind.

How far? I'd say plan to drive it if possible and not fly. But I know its not feasible even with the best intentions.

Between the embassies being closed off, ISON, FEMA, foreign troops on U.S. soil, banks on the brink of collapse...too much is moving at the same time. I just have an eeky feeling about all this. Moreso than usual.

I'm not a prepper, living paycheck to paycheck barely surviving I never had chance or gave it a sincere thought before. But in the last couple of weeks, I had the sudden urge to start bottling water. Saved every empty bottle, 2-liter & milk jug I find, and started buying food in bulk. And not sure why, just something "felt" like I should? Whether or not it matters in the end, who knows.

Last night I started watching "Jericho" on Netflix after seeing the show title pop up in another thread....and it's just eerie. Forgot all about it. A nuke attack, foreign troops, EMP - that's what made this thread stick out.

I mean think about it...all these survival-style shows are appearing or already aired. Jericho, Survivor, The Colony, Doomsday Preppers, etc. Networks are re-airing shows like Deep Impact & Armageddon instead of the usual mind numbing junk. Ask why? In a world full of crap TV & "reality shows" they decided to make these - when most were cancelled due to low ratings. They were trying to get some type of information out to the public, because sadly nobody reads books anymore so its the best way.
