Lousiania Sinkhole sucked down trees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [quote from above] why isn't the water DROPPING though? why is it staying the same level, as the hole gets deeper and deeper? it can only mean one thing, can't it? those black marks at the bottoms of the remaining trees. Are they a natural part of trees like that, or are they indicating a tidal range there? -quote- Someone earlier said that there might be already Ocean Water in there so that the water level remains stable.... at this point, WHO KNOWS !!! Lousiania Sinkhole sucked down trees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we're all in a lot of trouble. if that thing is a sinkhole, why is the water level not dropping? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 45530992 that's the ocean imho. bit by bit, it will engulf everything there, but where will it stop? seriously, gtf out found something else to, that isn't in search.. [link to lasinkhole.wordpress.com] Cargill stops mining salt under Lake Erie out of safety concerns CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cargill salt mine below Lake Erie has stopped mining because of concerns that the roof 1,800 feet below ground could collapse. That’s according to Cargill spokesman Mark Klein, who said the company stopped mining salt on Monday after its first shift, sending about 100 employees home for the week with pay. This may relate to many themes explored here. The story was sent in by an eagle-eyed reader. By highway driving it is 1,169 miles from Lake FUBAR: look at the map on the link. isn't there some sort of inundation map by some future seer, that shows an ocean from where the sinkhole is all the way up to the lakes? so, I looked for something half way between them. in say, Tennessee.. Motorists are urged to use an alternate route until the problem has been contained. We will update this story as it continues to develop. The sinkhole is on the eastbound side, and traffic is down to one lane. Be advised. this is ONE DAY AGO. My son and I were watching it on his cellphone and he swears that that sinkhole is over 100 feet deep. it just swallowed those trees and kept filling in! He said look at the water levels dropping! We kept watching the entire video and he said if there had been a boat out there, it would have swallowed the whole boat. Did you explain that boats float? Also, the sinkhole is much much deeper than 100' Dumbshit, bubbles will sink a boat. |

Lousiania Sinkhole sucked down trees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It does look strange however realise that all meteorological studies of this planet only back date two hundred odd years at best. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14692141 I.e it's normal No....Its NOT "normal".... 200 years ago they weren't sucking out and dissolving salt and creating storage caverns. That's why the 'experts' don't know WTF is going to happen here....however...I DO agree with the poster here who questioned WHY the water was not 'going away' if it was merely a sinkhole. THIS thing is connected to the OCEAN. We will lose the entire lower half of Lousianna within the next 5 years. How did you come to this conclusion? I really really hope you are wrong Gotha |

If you notice, when the land and trees fall in the sinkhole water displacement almost brings the water levels to the top of the black markings on the remaining trees. |

Lousiania Sinkhole sucked down trees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Appears the mass of land the tress are embedded in broke away and just dropped straight down.If the tress were falling away they would likely have fell sideways. The trees hardly moved at all and stayed upright as they sank.Very odd really. |

Lousiania Sinkhole sucked down trees last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lack of a vortex makes me believe the ocean is connected. Its not a sinkhole, sinkhole are natural phenomenon.
