The first would be [link to www.ioffer.com] where you buy directly from individuals and are free to pay either their asking price or negotiate your own. ioffer also allows the sale of many things that EBAY prohibits. The second would be [link to www.alibaba.com] where you buy directly from distributors and/or manufacturers. Although these are primarily wholesale firms... they will sell to anyone who wants to buy in multiples, such as dvd recorders for $6 ea when you buy 100 of them. BUT: most will also sell just a single item to you at a slightly higher price. alibaba.com is the Asian version of EBAY with virtually all of the companies located in China, Hong Kong, Thailand, etc. - they will all offer English-speaking reps online and I can tell you that Asian customer service is 2nd to none! They REALLY take an interst in you as a customer and are always eager to please. Don't be put off by the prospect of high shipping costs from mainland China - as high as domestic rates have gotten, theirs are pretty competetive and considering the low, low costs of the products they sell you can always come out ahead if you are willing to wait up to 3-4 weeks to receive your orders. Having said that: over the years I have ordered several digital projectors directly from the Chinese manufacturer at a fraction of what they would cost here [IF I could find any with the same features!]; I paid $60 for DHL air express and they always arrived within 72 hrs with LOTS of tracking info along the way. And: they were excellent machines that also came with some solid customer service - any problems and the manufacturer would have their engineer e-mail me! |

Curtis~Fre (OP) User ID: 30358350 United States 08/23/2013 11:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | IT APPEARS THAT THERE ARE VERY FEW SALES SITES ON THE NET FOR EVERYDAY SELLERS LIKE OURSELVES. I BELIEVE THAT AMAZON HAS BECOME THE BEST OF THEM ALL. THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SELLS ON EBAY ARE TOO STEEP FOR THE ORDINARY PERSON. I ADVISE ALL EBAY SELLERS TO CAREFULLY READ AND REVIEW THEIR EBAY CONTRACTS. WHEN THE NET BEGAN, THE IDEA WAS TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE CONTROLS OF THE SUPER CORPORATIONS. IN THE END, MEANING BY TODAY'S STANDARDS, THE CORPORATIONS HAVE WON AND THE MOM AND POP SITES HAVE LOST AND PETERED OUT. THE FUTURE IS NOW OBVIOUS. THE RICH WILL GET RICHER AND THE POOR, ARE ON THEIR OWN. SUPPORT MOM AND POP OPERATIONS. WE ARE YOUR NEIGHBORS. WE ARE SMALL BUSINESS. THANKS! Go with the flow, but think for yourself. |

I have listed around 40 items , in a 2 month span , and had around 15 sales . Clearly not the sales i would get in ebay , not even close , but at least i dont have to pay those ridiculous fees , and i dont have any listing fees at all . What i am hating with ebay , is their attitude towards seller . And the fact that the only acceptet payment gateway is gaypal . But whatever :) . Going to grab a sandwitch ! mmmm |
