I hope you give us more insights on this code talking but for now I just want you to give me some answers in accordance to what you propposed in this thread I am patient and I will wait for the answers as long as it takes you to give them. So here come the questions: - What do you think about recurring or repeated dreams and everyday experiences (like "de ja" moments) and how are they related to your view of time-space and reality? - What do you think that happens when we travel back in time during our dreams (not so much about the travel but more about the experience of being in a distant era) and how real or illusory this is in truth? I ask these questions because I feel connected to what you have said in this thread and these questions have haunted me for some time, I feel like you could give some help in obtaining the answers. I hope you give us more insights on this code talking but for now I just want you to give me some answers in accordance to what you propposed in this thread I am patient and I will wait for the answers as long as it takes you to give them. I ask these questions because I feel connected to what you have said in this thread and these questions have haunted me for some time, I feel like you could give some help in obtaining the answers. By the way 5* and GK for you! Hello, my friend. Thank you for your kindness. Dreams are an extremely interesting and mysterious phenomenon. Recurring dreams are interesting. They most likely have multiple sources and relevancies. It is possible that recurring dreams are the product of what our mind labels as important concepts which are buried somewhere in our unconscious and have not been properly dealt with. Thus they recur and we continue to look for answers. Time is relative. The wave harmonic theory of temporal perception states that time is an illusion caused by the passage of history....and that history is an illusion caused by the passage of time. We are, therefore, permanently living in the "now" (which is all we ever REALLY experience) but dreams seem to allow us (as you said) to do a bit of time/dimension hopping. It is possible that our thoughts (and thus our "selves") are connected to infinite chains of people existing at different "times" and places. Many have theorized that when we dream, we are experiencing feeds from these other "selves" and are able to interact as/with them. This may be why, in dreams, we sometimes seem to act in ways we never would in "real life." Perhaps we are more affected by one another (through transmissions of brain wave patterns) during sleep than we are during waking life. Your second question is fascinating to me. Reality is essentially an attempt by the brain to collect information and assemble it in such a way to allow us to interact with the world. This means that dreaming is really exactly like waking life...but without an "input feed..." i.e. we have no sensory data to assimilate into a "picture" of reality. So where are these dream perceptions coming from? Many scientists claim it is simply a matter of what we have experienced during waking life accumulating. But if that is the case, then why do we often experience versions of reality which are VASTLY different than those of waking life? What this leads to is the questioning of the true nature of reality WITHOUT our body's sensory systems. It may be that when we dream we are literally "quantum jumping" or "reality hopping." Since space/time is infinite, perhaps we literally go to places which we have a hand in creating, but which truly exist in other "dimensions." I constantly ponder these questions myself. Hope these thoughts are an adequate answer for you. - The Spider Kid |
