The lenticular cloud thread got me going into some cool videos, one of which reminded me of an experience I had a few years back with St. Elmo's Fire.
I was out in the country driving home with my significant other, and a we saw a commercial plane going overhead (it had just taken off from the nearby city airport)
All of a sudden, there's a flash of light, and we see a big glowing ball of what I can only describe as blue plasma sort of work its way over the plane quickly and gather at the bottom of the plane.
It stayed for a second and then it just sort of dropped off the plane and 'evaporated' before it got to the ground.
I was freaked out, I had no fucking
clue what I had seen. I checked all the papers the next day to see if anyone else had seen it..but after I told my mom she talked to my aunt (a former airplane mechanic) who told me it was probably St. Elmo's Fire.
It was one of the craziest things I have ever seen in my life.
Anyone else ever experienced St. Elmo's Fire?
