OP misunderstands. God was saying Pharoh's heart would be hardened because of his attitude towards God as God knows the end from the beginning as He is outside of time. Its the same with all of us, the trials of life we go through are often horrible and unfair and we can choose to ask God to help us get through it all and trust Him or we can shake our fists at Him and blame Him. All of life is a trial.
