If youre smart, one should pick out costumes for halloween and start Christmas shopping for presents now. September will be pleasant and breezy if you arent fighting the crowds. Makes it less stressful.

In late June, early July, I wanted to get my Mom a summer wreath for her door to replace her Spring-time one and I saw
Autumn AND Halloween themed wreaths and decorations ALREADY at the hobby stores with NO summer-time wreaths at all !
