Even though I am against these wars, but on principle, I am inclined to support Obama here. I think the consequences of you racists gaining the upper hand out of this incident far outweigh the fate of unfortunate Syria.

It would be typical that Obama would address the nation to ANNOUNCE that hostilities had begun, steps had been taken to ensure the safety of the US homeland and institutions abroad, and to pray for the safety of all our people in harms way.

Boilerplate war rhetoric.

I normally am a very positive thinking guy, but this has all in it to not end well.

Analysing this, the delay, the speech of last week, the pressure voiced by the people and most of the world, the high risk of Russia and China getting involved, will in my opinion lead to another delay in reaction. Afterall, there is a time span of 60 days if I recall it correct.

So basically, Obama will slowplay this situation and wait for someone else to go all in. That someone else can only be Israel. Syria, Iran or Hezbollah and Al Qaida will see Obama's slowplay as weaknes and will challenge Israel. Israel, feeling left out in the cold by Obama, will not hesitate and strike back and from there Obama will play his "I have the right to authorize military action to defend humanity" card. Different play, same outcome.

I hate war. I can not believe that there are people who crave doom and war. How can anyone crave death and destruction? Maybe for the sole purpose that those in power will also fall? What good does that do to your own personal situation? Look at the Arabic Spring countries. What good did that do for the people who already had nothing. They still have nothing. Those who struggle now, will struggle even more or be dead.

I hate myself for thinking like this. I hope I am wrong, I truly hope I am wrong. We still got to much in this world to love and live for, who ever you are, who ever you worship and where ever you are.
