The time for tightening the sails and batting down is over. We've fought the good fight, finished the course, and now there's laid up for us a reward- a crown for all of us who love Jesus' appearing. We will cast them at Jesus feet since all glory and honor belong to him.

I didn't earn a martyrs crown, but everyone's not destined to.

And just for clarification, these earned crowns have nothing to do with salvation. That was bought by Jesus and paid in full by him alone.
