The Four Gates of Speech
An old Sufi tradition advises us to speak only after our words have managed to pass through four gates. At the first gate, we ask ourselves, "Are these words true?" If so, we let them pass on; if not, back they go. At the second gate we ask; "Are they necessary?" At the third gate we ask; "Are they beneficial?" and at the fourth gate, we ask, "Are they kind?" If the answer to any of these is no, then what you are about to say should be left unsaid.

This is a great idea ... i think if everyone abided by it the world would be a lot more peaceful!

Re: The Four Gates of Speech
Aacha hai Manpreet ke tum dekh ke bhaag nahi gaye. Warna life main punga ho jaata. Puneet was a big help, and NP.com does appreciate it. Still trynig to find a way to repay the favour..so we will see what we decide. Stats section will be back very soon (hopefully tonight). Woh kya hai ke I deactivated the plugins, some work in WP 1.5 and some don't. So slowly putting them back in. Its on the To Do list. Very good suggestions Kunal and also glad that you did not run away after coming to the site. Not sure abt. the whole 800*640 thing but I will try to make it an option that those who want to see it in the old template are still able to, is that good? About Us is also on the To Do list and will get updated soon (hopefully tomorrow ). Random Posts, I need to find an upgraded plugin for that, whenever I find it, I will post it. I will look @ the sidebar size. Thanks Ankur. I knew that you would be the first to notice that the stats would be gone but it was Manpreet first. Good to see that there are more people than just me that look at that. Anyway, your treat will come. Manpreet kitna aacha bacha hai maanga bhi nahi treat ke liye. It seems the first reaction seems to be an unanimous one. I am glad that you like it Gaurav, but still many tweaks to be done. Hopefully I will be get to many of them today. Appreciate the nice words V. I have definitely accomplished what I wanted to accomplish if you can feel the love Mona. Good to hear that you are enjoying the training, it will definitely get better. Thanks Prasad. Good point and will definitely work out the colors. I didn't know what colors to use and now seeing them in Mozilla and in IE, I will make some changes. For my first try on a new look, you would say its good eh? Yep Manpreet, I will make the change. Thanks Tarun. Thanks Govind. Can you be more specific on what you mean by the side image background? Am not sure about that. The red color, is that what you are saying? Let me know, and I will do it. Thanks Neeru my love. I was really hoping that you would like it. There is still much more that I want to do to make it better but shall updating it. I am not sure about Kunal's comment about the 800*640 because I am also using 1024. Will have to see it in that format. Thanks Priya. I am glad that you love it! Thanks Surabhi for your very kind words. Aapki dua hi humko chahiye, and we appreciate it. When I saw your name, it seemed familiar, as even I have been to your blog through Devesh's blog. Thanks for visiting, and keep coming back!

WOW! This is the best advice I ever heard OP! do you know which sufi said this? I would love to hear more from him. I'm gonna perform this experiment and see how it goes. I'm writing down all 4 on my hand and will speak whateever I say tomorrow by following these 4 rules.
