It means it takes both earth and sky, mud water spirit sun darkness to pressurize the carbon into the diamond. The diamonde basically is just saying the everything is one but right now this earth ship is a time ship and so we live in this bubble of duality to work through our desires in slow motion (time) so that when we leave time we aren't making really stupid decisions that screw everybody up.
