According to Cupertino, it “scans sub-epidermal skin layers,” and can read 360 degrees. As expected, the sensor is actually part of the Home button, making it less of a button and more of a…well, sensor. Using Touch ID, users can authorize purchases in iTunes, the App Store, or in iBooks by simply using their thumbprint (starting in iOS 7, of course). Pretty neat / scary! Who cares, seriously? They have your finger prints already. I KNOW they have mine I served in the military. I think it's neat as hell! Stupid lock codes suck and you HAVE TO have one on a smart phone. This is genius. Like when your driving and using GPS and all a sudden the stupid phone locks. Well. U unlock it. Now you don't even have to look! Sure it's big brother ish but what can they do with a finger print? And a thumb at that not even a useful finger print Pfft

Imagine what someone who hacks your phone can do?
