Here's a documentary that really explains why the Rapture may not come before the Tribulation as has been often preached.

Why is this even an issue? A lot of pastors are teaching people not to prepare whatsoever with supplies, seed, skills, and spirituality. They tell Christians, "No worries. You will all be spared the Tribulation since the Rapture comes first."

Because of this, a lot of folks will end up dying because they failed to prepare.

Even if you don't want to worry about any of that pre-trib or during the Trib or the after-Trib doctrines, ask yourself this, "Have Christians avoided suffering in history during upheavals or have they massively suffered by oppressive governments and false doctrines?
