United States 09/17/2013 12:45 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What will you do without your helium balloon? There is a shortage of Helium. In the future, children will not have a floating balloon. That is, unless someone comes up with something that will work. It would have to be something that would work safely and cheaply. If you can invent this, you will make a lot of money. Perhaps people should invest in a helium stock. Is there one? I don't know. It seems like a good idea, since there seems to be a shortage. The United States produces the majority of the world’s helium supply at 78%. The rest of the world’s helium is harvested in North Africa, The Middle East, and Russia Read more: [ link to www.universetoday.com] [ link to www.nbcnews.com] I have heard already some stores are suspending helium ballon sales. They are no longer getting the large tanks of helium. People who want balloons can buy a kit that contains a small tank of helium. I don't even know how much longer these will be sold. If you can think of something that is ligher than air and a way to get it cheaply and safely for balloons, you should look into making an alternative for the market. |

United States 09/17/2013 12:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: What will you do without your helium balloon? I work in a store that sells the mylar balloons. The only people that buy them are the Mexicans and the blacks for the most part. The blacks will get all pissy about it, whenever we are out. They think we are deliberately trying to deny them their fucking balloons, then they apeshit and start ripping the display balloons off the walls. |

United States 09/17/2013 12:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: What will you do without your helium balloon? That is what I am afraid of. The balloons now cost 50 cents for one balloon. People are getting kind of mad about the cost. But then just yesterday a lady told me that they have suspended the helium sales. So people are buying a balloon kit. One of the kits comes with a little tank of helium and another of the kits just inflates the balloons with air.
I guess a balloon full of air would be fun if you didn't know any better and know balloons used to float. |
