So why did this guy need to use an AKA and change his name from Jean Ederman to "Eric Julien"?

Also, I found another interesting story about back when he was called Jean Ederman. Seems that he went missing for a while and his story was that he had been taken up by aliens who were training him to fly their spacecraft. I'm not joking...google it for yourself!
