COMMUNICATION SHUTDOWN: Verizon Wireless/FIOS Out; Unknown Cause

And yes... I will bumpity bump bump this... as this could be the beginning of a shitstorm many have predicted... the timing is not good.

ODD: Paper in NEW MEXICO has published report on the outage... nothing on VZW website on status of outage. Seeking source of that article just published...

Im in Ohio and at 2pm it wasn't working...it was using the extended network but it working fine now

Tracphone uses all of the carriers cell towers under contract (ATT, Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile ect) that's why I use it - I ALWAYS have a signal.

This mornings' communications blackout (long distance, internet and cellphone service) affecting Taos, NM and surrounding communities has been attributed to a break in the fibre-optic cable near Cimmaron, NM. A road crew installing guard rails was the cause according to the Taos County Emergency Operations Center. Repair crews are on-scene.

Probably NOT connected to a general Verizon outage.

VRZ stopped FIOS rollout, they spent a lot of money on it introducing it in several states, then they just pulled the plug on it and to this day no one has a clue as to why.
