Anybody else with OCD? Please help me gather info by answering a few questions
Anybody with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
Anybody with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
Anybody with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

1.) At what age did it start?

2.) How disruptive (1-10) has it been to your life?

3.) What do you think caused it?

4.) Did/do you have migraine headaches? How often/severe?

5.) Frequent stiffness in neck and shoulder area?

6.) Social anxiety?

7.) Have you/are you currently taking meds? Which ones?

8.) Any illegals? (Marijuana in particular)

9.) Ever try psilocybin? Did you like it?

10.) Anger/frustration problems?

I have suffered from this hellish disorder from about 6 years old till the present. I believe it was caused by the pre-school shots I received, but I will never know for sure, I guess, as TPTB would never admit it if it were true.
I sincerely hope you don't have this disorder, if you have it, you will know what I mean.

I have just finished a 'research' on OCD, as a lifelong friend suffers from it in a most profound way, that my heart aches for them.

Here are my findings in a nutshell...studies are showing that exposure alone, not even 'getting' full blown strep throat, can cause an infection of mycotoxins as a result of the strep bacteria. These mycotoxins are wall less bacteria that migrate/embed themselves within the cellular walls of our own cells. The short term antibiotic regimen, may cause the trep bacteria to subside, but do not penetrate our cell walls to get to the embedded mycotoxins. The mycotoxins secrete waste products whithin our very cells...these toxins may be the cause of OCD.

There are a few Dr's who are doing what is called a long term, low dose antibiotic protocol. This would be taking anywhere from 20mg to 100mg of antibiotics twice a day for long term..years. This slow low dose, overtime...will get to the mycotoxins. This same method is being used with great success on many autoimmune diseases like Rhuematoid Arthritis, lupus, scleroderma..etc, all of which are thought to be caused by mycotoxins from various bacterias.

There is a website called Roadback.org...that will explain the AP (antibiotic protocol) and provides info for Doctors in your area who are using this method of treatment. I suggest you visit the website and read, read and read some more

If you mention this to you psyche doc's..they will poo pooey it..due to lack of knowledge, and the fear of loss of business revenue.

You are your greatest asset. Fight for your life. Fight on...I am :)

Re: Anybody else with OCD? Please help me gather info by answering a few questions
My wife suffers with debilitating OCD when she's not medicated, so here are answers on her behalf ...

1. Her OCD reared it's head right around the time that puberty set in AND her family moved across the country.

2. Her OCD is a 99 on your 1 to 10 scale.

3. OCD is a chemical disorder, pure and simple.

4. She has had problems with them from time-to-time, but we believe they're more related to her female hormones as she's had problems with her cycle over the years.

5. No.

6. No, she's a freaking social butterfly.

7. She takes Luvox (fluvoxamine) and Risperidal (risperdone). Between the two, she has a 90% reduction in symptoms and lives a fairly normal life.

8. No.

9. No.

10. No.

I have an autoimmune disease..thought to be secondary to mycotoxins caused by the lymes disease bacteria....so imagine how surprised I was..when my OCD research led me to the same conslusions as it's cause... only from strep mycotoxcins.

Re: Anybody else with OCD? Please help me gather info by answering a few questions
I used to think I had it.

I would have to always keep numbers even or I would freak out.

But I don't think it's something you have.

I think it's a mental thing that either gets wedged into your mind even more because it's a thing that you're constantly think about or it goes away as you get older.

I don't have any proof that that describes OCD in people but it's a theory.

I found that a bunch of my friends had OCD-esque feelings as a kid but grew out of most of them.
