Austria cannot be thought of without the mountains...

Here the "unofficial hymn" that all people sing and know here, even me even though I am not born in Austria.



When I came, I was dreaming of the snow because I hardly knew the snow where I came from, it was such cliché, magestic, then I was given a shovel and got told that if I dream of snow the whole year, now I can go and shovel it.

This spring I even had once to shovel it three times in a day because I could not drive away otherwise. Then I had to park away from my own parking place, I did not want to shovel the path to the street again. I parked near the street, the snowplower came aside and my car got stuck not only by the snow that was laying and still falling but by nearly half a meter that had been plowed and pushed under my car. I thought I was getting insane being shoveling to no avail under the car and people waiting to be picked. With luck, much effort and noise, i manage to get the car out of the place after something that looked like an eternity.
