I get the "wanting doom mentality" of most people on this site, and I don't doubt the doom they all want is coming...but until then...they just look foolish and it discredits everything else they say when planes/venus/Jupiter/etc has them jumping into bunkers...haha... There you go...who the fuck wants doom? I have a beautiful life pal. Your guess was absurd, simple as that. Now if you guessed that Sunnydaze, the OP, and the others who have seen it, are all are putting a big one over on us, I'll entertain that. That at least is in this dimension. Your contrail shit ain't fit for Disney World...well, maybe in "Mr. Toads Wild Adventure" which they ditched, unfortunately. You are a bad case. I tell ya what, when this "doom" of yours doesn't happen, you admit you are WRONG, and then quietly go away...deal? If your comet/asteroid/alien spaceship that you have been snapping pics and vids of comes on down to Earth, I will admit I was wrong. I have seen them come and go time and time again. You put all of your eggs in the first doom basket that came your way, and you failed. Last Edited by Bluepill on 10/08/2013 09:56 PM |

There were a few actual contrails around it. I could see the plane through the binoculars and the trail moved with the plane. This is not a contrail. It's in orbit, whatever it is. |

Most people on here BEG for it. They want it. They eat it up. Were you here for Elenin? HAHA give me a break. Doomtards are the VAST majority of visitors. Not enough doom for the day, people complain! I can't believe you said that, and DONT believe you actually think that is true. Quoting: UnmannedAerialPilot Haha. Yeh, but not the kind of doom mentality you make of it, funny. You don´t seem to get the irony of the GLP doominess, I see. Well, you get it some day, I guess. No one talks about bunkers and no one is freaking out, as you wish to make it seem with your absurd statements. Note that I'm not claiming that a meteoroid can't escape detection and hit us. I'm talking about a comet or asteroid, still out there in space, that gradually increases in brightness and reaches naked eye magnitude before it is discovered so that it's sitting out there as is being claimed here, a comet at naked eye magnitude for "months," that isn't discovered by amateur astronomers. |

Dr. Astro Senior Forum Moderator User ID: 33360181 United States 10/08/2013 10:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Dr. Astro Neither. You failed to account for the possibility that my community of amateur astronomers WOULD find such a thing before you, long before it reached naked eye magnitude, and that what you are seeing is exactly what I said you're seeing. Plane contrails. It's simple, that's all there is to it, they're just plane contrails. I'm not scared, I'm not pissed I didn't discover something, there's nothing to discover. I've seen this shit before, for years, it's just plane contrails! If you are correct, and your not, then all the witnesses are liars. No they're not. That's a strawman. By eye they just look like little comets in the sky. The odds of the same contrail, in the same area of space, consistently for months, at the same time of day is not statistically possible. Come on man... Quoting: blueIt's not the "same" contrail, it's various contrails from various planes on different days but taking similar routes. It's always at the same time because that is the time when the sun will properly illuminate the contrails to give them their "comet-like" appearance after sunset. I'll ignore the dumbass comment for now, What comment? but I am in Florida too, and if you would like to discuss this, over a beer, face to face, man to man, that's fine with me. Quoting: bluepillI'm sure you'd like to kick my ass, "man to man." Forget it. |

She is not the conspiracy theory type and is usually weirded out by most of the things on this sight. She says satellite or space debris. Astro, you are obviously standing firm with your contrail theory, but since its not, could it be a satellite in your expertise? |

Sorry to burst your doom bubble, but that's exactly what the pics posted show....distant contrails illuminated by the setting sun. I've seen them before and even pointed my telescope at them and saw the plane. It is precisely because it is fashionable for Americans to know no science, even though they may be well educated otherwise, that they so easily fall prey to nonsense. They thus become part of the armies of the night, the purveyors of nitwittery, the retailers of intellectual junk food, the feeders on mental cardboard, for their ignorance keeps them from distinguishing nectar from sewage. — Isaac Asimov |
