There REALLY IS something strange in western sky around sunset...!!!

I've been following this thread. Finally remembered to look on my commute home heading west during sunset. SAW EXACTLY what was posted in this photo. A weird contrail like streak that just sat there for 30 min to an hour until the sun disappeared. Not saying its this or that, just adding to the pile of people who claim they are seeing something regardless of its a plane or the mothership or planet x

yeah you too? I watched it for over 30 minutes , it didn't fly away like a plane would ? !!! I just could not take my eyes off of it= sure was bright !!!

Yep, this was last thursday I saw it. I didn't think to post here because I thought I was looking for a blinking object. But apparently this weird disk like thing really is what everyone is talking about. I watched it for a solid 25 minutes minimum as I drove westward in open skies. Creepy, it was identical to your pic.

Time for AstroBoy and Crew to Provide Proof and Answer some questions...Feel Free to add to the list:

1) What are the coordinates for Venus right now?
2) What constellation is Venus in right now?
3) At what time tonight (Mon) and tomorrow (Tues) will Venus be visible to the naked eye in Atlanta, Ga?
4) How long will Venus be visible tonight (Mon) and tomorrow (Tues) from Atlanta?
5) How long from TODAY, will Venus be visible from Atlanta, Ga?
6) What is the "seemingly" bright object in the SW evening sky in Atlanta that is above my son's football field?
7) How long will this object be over my son's football field?
8) How do YOU tell the difference between "contrails" and Venus?
9) Will Venus ever NOT be visible on clear nights in Atlanta ever again?
10) Could I possibly see Venus from the same intersection, at the same time of night for 4 months while in Atlanta?
11) From Atlanta, what objects will I be able to see with my naked eyes near or around Venus tomorrow?
12) Can you answer any or all of these questions and provide PHOTOGRAPHIC OR VIDEO EVIDENCE/PROOF?

Anything other than 12 answers to these questions, will be interpreted as ASTROBOY FAILURE.

Thanks in advance...and the only reason I am asking you is because you said you have been watching for a long time. And to be fair, if you want to ask me any questions that don't require telescopic equipment, I will be happy to answer or say "I don't know".

Sounds like you all have a perfect opportunity to document this object that would certainly become the biggest astronomical story of the decade. Will we see any extended video clips (30 minutes) from you tomorrow?

Thanks, but I am looking for answers, not apps. AstroBoy ridiculed an earlier poster who "needed" a sky app to identify "Venus". I tell you what, you are familiar with the site you referenced and/or it's app. Why don't you quickly get the answers to my 12 questions? Waiting patiently.

And again, someone who keeps seeing this object, but refuses to document it. We have an undeniable pattern here,

Then think about my 12 questions, of which you answered none, and NO documentation is needed to answer those questions. I will accept "IDK x 12" is you don't know, but I know you do, right?

If AstroBoy, Setheory and GeoHo answer 4 questions each, my list will be exhausted and I will be able to find Venus and compare it to the pics I have taken over 4 months and I will be able to let the rest of you know that you are looking at Venus, but just didn't realize it b/c right now Venus is so....different than it has ever been in your life. But so far, not 1 question about VENUS has been answered. I don't know why, but there must be a good reason.

My 2nd Nikon that has video feature is being borrowed by a friend i just called her and asked if I could pick it up tomorrow ... if i have enough time to charge it will try and get a video clip if i see it again and its clear ...

The "we" I speak of are those people who are asking the difficult/rational questions. Those of us who have done webcasts, taken our own photos that show contrails as well as those who have looked repeatedly and seen nothing.

(That is the question every rational person should be asking since Venus is hanging there like a giant extremely bright waypoint.)
You know, the brightest object in the night sky except for the moon?

Be sure to image it in relation to Venus since you are saying it is in the same area of the sky so it shouldn't be difficult to get both in the image.

My background is Amateur Astronomy and fishing. A supposed Ops claims that object isn't Venus? Whatever........
