"In my judgment, you're going to see a lot of this hostility disappear only when various countries really feel they need friendly relations with the United States, probably for their own security," said Solomon. "It will probably take some major event for that to take place." |

Bullshit, people who think straight would never turn their back to anyone on this planet, and from that point of view, the following could be a typical message from the conscious hearts of everyone to the conscious hearts of the American people, I'm sure: Dear American friends, You have our full support in your struggle for truth, justice, and freedom, the same struggle that we endeavour in Europe, Africa, The Middle East, Asia, Australia, or anywhere else on Earth. We wish you strength and wisdom beforehand, and love, peace and harmony afterwards. Kind regards, Everyone . . . . . . . . . . |

Only half serious, younger people visit forums on the net and sometimes Americans, especially the younger ones can be pretty nasty, arrogant and think their country can do no wrong. They also exhibit a deplorable knowledge about the rest of the world. But similar things could be said of British youngsters, I suppose. |

You sound as if you would support the Mexican government if they filed a lawsuit against the U.S. for protecting it's own borders. The real reason it seems everyone is turning against us is because we are weak, and allow other nations to meddle in our affairs. If we start slapping some hands and at least acting like an anatomically correct human male we might get a slight bit of respect back (not that it matters anymore.) |

Only American people bought it fully and everyone else smelled shit. Now wars, oil more bs and no one is doing nothing. Not here, not there. People are just being murded at iraq as palestinians are murdered on their homeland. I´m proud to be in and from country which has only fighted away invaders. Never attacked. And that is how it should be. And only big countries invade smaller countries, never vica versa. But. Maybe you will smell the coffee and getting something done. It was just so fucking bad dream to elect psycho for second term. Had to be rigged =) |

Not true. Because of guns the US is very likely the most violent nation on earth, has the largest prison population due to a very hight crime-rate, doesn't respect the human rights of it poorer citizens.....universal healthcare.......and is the most materialistic, thus greedy, country also which produces the most garbage. This is why the US shouts me, me.....me!!! More, more....more!!! The civilized world outside the USA is very different..........more polite and respectful......The US is Capitalism without a heart. |
You'dThink User ID: 74255 United States 05/17/2006 05:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | How about a day without American's? Now I am not saying I like Bush, but one of the consequences of a government for the people and by the people is that you will occasionally get someone in office (remember he is just a MAN) that does not represent or give a damn about the little people. Around the world we are facing this challenge. As an American I know we support every economic system around the world with our so called greed. When some one needs food, medical or funds who is first in line to help? One thing I know is that misery loves company. If these so called nations that hate America/Americans so bad were to FIX their government (oh that’s right, they may not have the right to complain about their own leaders) so their outlet is bad mouth America. Get real people. Though there are some things here that may make you cringe. I'd rather be living in America than any place else around this miserable world. At least I can scream if I want. |

Where do I start? You go on a scarcely coherent (and unrelated) geo-political tirade then expect a laugh? The Iraqis have allowed themselves to be ruled over by mullahs and fanatical clerics who adhere to the "death to infidels" portion of the Koran--a bad combination when they try to enforce their religion in the U.S. As far as the people in New Orleans are concerned only those who relied on the government were doomed, the smart ones left town the best way they knew how: Taking refuge in the Astrodome Thursday, September 01, 2005 Updated: 11:32 AM HOUSTON -- NEWSCHANNEL 5 crews were in Houston as some desperate refugees arrived in a stolen bus. HOUSTON -- Thousands of refugees of Hurricane Katrina were transported to the Astrodome in Houston this week. In an extreme act of looting, one group actually stole a bus to escape ravaged areas in Louisiana. About 100 people packed into the stolen bus. They were the first to enter the Houston Astrodome, but they weren't exactly welcomed. The big yellow school bus wasn't expected or approved to pass through the stadium's gates. Randy Nathan, who was on the bus, said they were desperate to get out of town. "If it werent for him right there," he said, "we'd still be in New Orleans underwater. He got the bus for us." Eighteen-year-old Jabbor Gibson jumped aboard the bus as it sat abandoned on a street in New Orleans and took control. "I just took the bus and drove all the way here...seven hours straight,' Gibson admitted. "I hadn't ever drove a bus." The teen packed it full of complete strangers and drove to Houston. He beat thousands of evacuees slated to arrive there. "I t's better than being in New Orleans," said fellow passenger Albert McClaud, "we want to be somewhere where we're safe." During a long and impatient delay, children popped their heads out of bus windows and mothers clutched their babies. One 8-day-old infant spent the first days of his life surrounded by chaos. He's one of the many who are homeless and hungry. Authorities eventually allowed the renegade passengers inside the dome. But the 18-year-old who ensured their safety could find himself in a world of trouble for stealing the school bus. "I dont care if I get blamed for it ," Gibson said, "as long as I saved my people." Sixty legally chartered buses were expected to arrive in Houston throughout the night. Thousands of people will be calling the Astrodome "home," at least for now." Call it survival of the fittest or natural selection--take your pick. |
