$175 dollar premium for a young, healthy student? Thanks, Obamacare!
American media outlets were finally able to track down a mythical creature — a person who actually signed up for the Obamacare exchanges online.

But that person, Chad Henderson, admitted to the Washington Post that the premium for the plan he enrolled in was $175. Ouch! Wasn’t Obamacare supposed to lower premiums?

Henderson’s going to pay a $175 premium and he won’t even receive vision or dental insurance. He has contacts, so not having vision insurance is kind of a bum deal.

Henderson, as far as we know a healthy, 21-year-old college student at Chattanooga State Community College who lives in Flintstone, Ga., and works part-time at a day-care center, did not qualify for tax credits to purchase insurance, according to the Post.

Without Obamacare, Henderson could have received health insurance for as little as $44.72 on eHealthInsurance.com, according to Michael F. Cannon of the Cato Institute.

Less than 50%

I remember the days of being 21. Being 21 really sucked especially when going through college. I remember having to have two or three room mates just to survive because minimum wage sucked ass. I don't think the young idiots truly though it through. I know back then I wouldn't want to have an extra 170 dollar bill especially for something I didn't need.

I just wrote a check for $500 for my youngest to go to DC...I received the packet of info yesterday stating that the first $175 is due in November and the second payment due in the beginning of next year with the final payment yet to be determined...

There are so many grammatical errors on these three pages that I'm going to send it back graded... F

Here's the first three sentences:

This is the 2nd (not second) week of our Spring Break (it's Fall, but they are referring to when the trip is). This days could be used as makeup days for school days missed during winter (can they say days more?). This will not affect the dates of the trip (really, would that be like a side effect? Erm side affect?)

Besides the grammatical errors, I'm insulted that they gave me payments, instead of a final price...I don't make payments!
I never forgive and I never forget

I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked.

Just went to ehealthinsurance with hope and plugged in my zipcode and 2 adults in their 50's. Cheapest plan was $1096 per month with a much higher deductible and 30% co-insurance AFTER the deductible. It is an HMO. The Blue Cross plans start even higher than that. Our current plan which is $600 per month cheaper and has NO co-insurance and a LOWER deductible is not being renewed. Totally screwed. Welcome to the land of the uninsured.

im fairly young and all i need is a catastrophic plan in case i get run over by a bus or something, but these plans are under the minimum the law allows now, so i would still have to pay the fine 1% of my total fucking income! even with insurance! and most of these cheap catastrophic plans have lower deductibles than the fucking obamacare plans! obamacare is going to force the whole country to be uninsured, or pay a fortune for shitty insurance! i think this is going to start riots! or at least the biggest political backlash we have ever seen since maybe vietnam and that was before i was born.

States had an option to form their own 'insurance exchanges' and to 'expand medicaid'.

33 States opted out, so now people are stuck with high costs for insurance premiums.

It's a STATE GOVENMENT PROBLEM
33 States opted out of O-care and the expansion of Medicaid, poor people in these States are screwed bc they still are required to purchase O-care without subsidies, plus the fact these 27 States did not form State Exchanges so O-care defaults to the Feds at a 3.5% higher cost. The Tea-Party is trying to bring this nation down.

List of States Opting out of Obamacare.

No subsidies for the poor and a 3.5% added cost due to the federal Governments 'Insurance Exchanges'.

A trip to DC? Damn, what did the kid do to P you off that bad?
There's a man in a white house with blood on his mouth!
If there's Knaves in the North, there are braves in the South.
We are three thousand horses, and not one afraid;
We are three thousand sabres and not a dull blade.

Re: $175 dollar premium for a young, healthy student? Thanks, Obamacare!
These lemmings thought they were getting something free, every one of these smug losers who voted for the empty suit communist American hater.

As much as I hate this monster, I am somehow pleased of the reality that will soon set in to many many people when they understand they have been taken advantage of because they are weak and stupid.

At least you morons had the choice of healthcare before this.

Not only will 175 make or break many of these losers, they will be unable to afford the out of pocket costs involved with deductibles.

When this country falls, I will never extend my hand to those who helped cause its demise. They are now my enemy, the enemy of my family, and the enemy of my Country.
