Being 21 really sucked especially when going through college. I remember having to have two or three room mates just to survive because minimum wage sucked ass. I don't think the young idiots truly though it through. I know back then I wouldn't want to have an extra 170 dollar bill especially for something I didn't need. |

BRIEF User ID: 381742 United States 10/04/2013 10:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just wrote a check for $500 for my youngest to go to DC...I received the packet of info yesterday stating that the first $175 is due in November and the second payment due in the beginning of next year with the final payment yet to be determined... There are so many grammatical errors on these three pages that I'm going to send it back graded... F Here's the first three sentences: This is the 2nd (not second) week of our Spring Break (it's Fall, but they are referring to when the trip is). This days could be used as makeup days for school days missed during winter (can they say days more?). This will not affect the dates of the trip (really, would that be like a side effect? Erm side affect?) Besides the grammatical errors, I'm insulted that they gave me payments, instead of a final price...I don't make payments! I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Cheapest plan was $1096 per month with a much higher deductible and 30% co-insurance AFTER the deductible. It is an HMO. The Blue Cross plans start even higher than that. Our current plan which is $600 per month cheaper and has NO co-insurance and a LOWER deductible is not being renewed. Totally screwed. Welcome to the land of the uninsured. |

Useless Cookie Eater User ID: 29696048 United States 10/04/2013 05:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | American media outlets were finally able to track down a mythical creature — a person who actually signed up for the Obamacare exchanges online. Quoting: my 2 cents But that person, Chad Henderson, admitted to the Washington Post that the premium for the plan he enrolled in was $175. Ouch! Wasn’t Obamacare supposed to lower premiums? Henderson’s going to pay a $175 premium and he won’t even receive vision or dental insurance. He has contacts, so not having vision insurance is kind of a bum deal. Henderson, as far as we know a healthy, 21-year-old college student at Chattanooga State Community College who lives in Flintstone, Ga., and works part-time at a day-care center, did not qualify for tax credits to purchase insurance, according to the Post. Without Obamacare, Henderson could have received health insurance for as little as $44.72 on eHealthInsurance.com, according to Michael F. Cannon of the Cato Institute. Less than 50% [link to washingtonexaminer.com] Forcing someone to buy something....just for breathing and existing in the USA. Unbelievable. :obeyo: |
