Kentucky Obamacare States: NO RIGHT TO PRIVACY!
[link to freebeacon.com]

The Kentucky Obamacare marketplace has no “expectation of privacy,” warning its prospective customers that their information can be monitored and shared with government bureaucrats.

This is growing intolerable.

This is disgusting. I think we all know that the gov't is worse than corporations when it comes to privacy but for them to outright say 'no right to privacy' is an in your face move. They are backing people into corners.

The fine is small in the first year. The fine maxes out 2.5% of income, why risk jail over that?

This is the like the mother of all disclosures:

Users (authorized or unauthorized) have no explicit or implicit expectation of privacy,” the disclaimer reads. “Any or all uses of this system and all files on the system may be intercepted, monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized state government and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.”

The "fine" is simply financial blackmail. Why pay blackmail?

And the inforcing agency of the IRS probably has it's hands full with ObamsCare already. The whole fiasco is a "who's on first? No, Whos on second. What's on first." fubaredness. In another words, they can't separate shit from shinola, And with the thing this running, it's headed for an epic failure to launch crash.

Debtors prison. It's alive and well.

[link to www.dailyfinance.com]

...

According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, debt collectors in Missouri, Illinois, Alabama and other states are using a legal loophole to justify jailing poor citizens who legitimately cannot pay their debts.

...
Illinois notwithstanding, the modern-day debtors' prison probably isn't going away anytime soon given the current economic climate: More than a third of U.S. states allow borrowers who can't or won't pay their debts to be jailed.

The deductibles are insane. This means you pay upfront around 14,000 a year before you are covered. Basically, you pay out of pocket for any care you need. The monthly payment is only to line the pockets of Govt. Why would anyone be stupid enough to sign up for this shit.
I'm sorry... 51% voted that idiot into office.

Only 51% (or so) of the people who actually voted in that particular election voted for Obama.

The true number of the potential voters that actually voted for Obama was about 33% according to the numbers I saw.

I have yet to hear a good explanation on how those two mesh together. And having been involved in the medical field for years, HIPAA is not something to be messed with if you want to keep your job.

It looks to me like a gaping hole just waiting for state AG's to rumble in the courtroom. And for something that's so supposed to be so well written with thousands of pages worth of legislation it sure seems they left a lot out.

Haven't they already been doing this as of the last several years? I'm not saying it's okay, I just remember all of that changing to no privacy a few years ago.

The best solution is to stay away from doctors as much as possible. This all just seems like a precursor to herding all of the people like cattle, telling them and requiring what types of procedures for them to get, and eventually requiring a computer chip for everyone.

Agreed. Mr. Rhombus wrote an HMR program about 12 years ago. He decided to move on to the manufacturing industry because HIPAA was such a pain in the ass. They're harping on the healthcare industry to comply with a strict set of rules regarding privacy while they're covering their own butts with "no expectation of privacy" disclaimers. You can't have it both ways.
