SECRET RAPTURE - This theory is NOT Biblical! This is a Jesuit doctrine. This is a recent viewpoint that many so-called protestant Sunday pastors teach to their unknowingly little flocks. PEOPLE please study the Word. The Bible says that God's people in the last days will go through the time of trouble just like the Hebrews had to go through 400yrs of slavery in ancient Egypt. Stop teaching this false doctrine. GOOGLE it - it's called the Catholic origins of Futurism and Preterism.

Re: Two Friends, Two Churches: Both Pastors Telling Congregation to 'Remain Peaceful'.
Im a fill in pastor at an Independent Christian church. This morning I talked about the Boston Tea party and how the Founding fathers knew that our rights were God given, and not meted out by mere men in high places.

I talked about how we are directed as Christians to be obedient to Government, AS LONG AS the government does not infringe upon our Beliefs as a majority Christian nation.

The government infringes upon our beliefs and castrates us at every turn. I informed the congregation that we are to disobey laws that go against our Faith, because faith is more important than Government. Kings and kingdoms have, and will continue to all pass away, but Jesus Christ, God The Father, and the HOly Spirit are our Guidance, and we will never cower to a demonic controlled US government that is hell bent on wearing down the Saints.

I wouldn't qualify as one of your Fema preachers I can tell you now. The time is coming that we will see another Boston Tea Party, and Christians, True Christians will lead the way.
What are the facts?

As an Independent Christian Church Preacher, this is very correct. There will be a great calling away of the Church, but the Bible points to this occurring in the Middle of the Great Tribulation, or shortly thereafter. Millions of Christians have lived through tribulation, suffering and being Marty rd for their faith, the last generation of Christians aren't any different or Special.

Can't figure my pastor. As of lately , nearly every sermon is don't have fear over current situations. Today and now are the best years of your life, now are the "golden years". Not a peep about the slaughter and persecutions around the world of fellow Christians, yet we are active in missions.

But, he has done things that make you wonder if he might be on track. I think the God might be guiding him into useful areas that would be beneficial in a collapsed scenario even if he doesn't understand why.

Why do they have to worry? The churches have been telling people they are going to raptured before anything bad happens for the past 180 years.

Prepping is for wussies. Kurt Kameron told me I'm getting Raptured!!

It is not a lie, and if you'd have read my linked article, you would see that the pre-trib view has nothing to do with whether Christians suffer.

It really astounds me how so many people think they are so super-spiritual to a point no other Christians have ever been before, because they boast that they will "overcome" and not be fooled. I think they're in for a rude surprise and a lesson in humility.

People who use vulgarity shouldn't lecture Christians on anything.

So, a very close friend calls me this afternoon and tells me that his pastor in Oklahoma at a Baptist Church, told the congregation, "Jesus was a man of peace." "Violent revolt is against Jesus." And implied these were the actions of terrorist.

Another friend, residing back east, just told me they left in the middle of the sermon at a Lutheran Church because of a very similar message.

Spooky as hell, given that ministers have been trained by DHS to help out in times of unrest.

I guess some have to preach what they are being told by whoever is in power, I would believe it.
But the message is right - don't be violent Americans no matter how pissed off you are because then you just give them the right reasons to either arrest or kill you.

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

As one of the wisest men to ever walk the earth said; timing is everything.

This country wasn't founded by peaceful means. I don't see how it can be saved by peaceful means either. I have seen my share of death and suffering. I want nothing more than to be able to "peacefully" live out the remainder of my days and raise my family and be a good husband. However, if need be....

I never dreamed, when I was younger, that we would fall to the depths that we have. We had something special...we squandered it away. It's sad that history must always repeat itself. Just sad.

I swore an oath. That oath didn't die when I retired. The overwhelming majority of folks like me feel the same way. The clear and present danger is within. Rome will fall...

This thread is so ironic because I was amazed at the scripture covered in my church today...

This could not have been planned in advance because my pastor has been teaching systematically through the book of Romans, but ironically, this was today's lesson:

[link to www.biblegateway.com]

Romans 13
New International Version (NIV)
Submission to Governing Authorities

13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

=============================
The pastor made it clear that in his opinion we are to obey laws unless they conflict with God's laws.

These pastors are teaching submission to tyrannical and ungodly "authorities".

The bible never taught that, and in fact, taught resistance to tyrannical powers. The entire bible if full of examples of "rebels" standing up to ungodly powers.
