The exchanges are related to the conservative groups American Future Fund and American Issues Project and were discovered during investigations into the IRS excessively targeting Tea Party groups and other politically-oriented organizations applying for tax-exempt status, according to the House Ways and Means Committee. The committee requested the information in a letter sent Wednesday to acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel. “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” ~Seneca PS: I Stole this from another member.... ;) |

Funny you should mention 2009 Snip; Back in May 2009, Professor Glenn Reynolds, better known to his followers as Instapundit, penned an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal in which he discussed some odd rhetoric from President Obama. Obama had been refused an honorary doctorate by Arizona State University, and Obama remarked, “President [Michael] Crowe and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS.” [link to www.breitbart.com] I'm only human, it's my biggest flaw. "God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787 |

Epic Beard Guy User ID: 26240425 United States 10/10/2013 02:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I wish that was true. Unfortunately it's not going to happen. The TEA party wants to push the issue, but they are getting zero help from the old establishment repuglicans. Progressives have taken over both parties. They want the power when it's their turn, so they're not going to push too hard to take the power away. The repuglicains have doomed their party. In 20 years most people wont remember the party. They will be a footnote in history, like the Whigs they replaced. True conservatives will re-appear and replace the progressives in Washington. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. Anonymous Coward User ID: 48037255 United States 10/10/2013 03:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No one gives a shit... Quoting: El Tiburon I am so upset that my fellow Americans are so goddamned mindless. 47% of americans pay zero federal income tax. They do pay other taxes, but theoretically they are paying for things they get some final benefit from. Payroll tax, SSI, gasoline taxes, etc. 20% of americans are directly employed by a federal or state agency. Another 10% are part of the .gov contractor pool, Boos Allen Hamilton, etc. The 1% pay what ever taxes they feel like. They have NGOs that will employ their families and freinds for generations. To do basically nothing, except advocate a cause. That's 78% of the people, who have no reason to question the status quo. It is sad that they don't see how much better the entire world would be without the US Tax code. Better Economy. More High Achievers such as medical doctors. Better Families. Less wars. And just more fredom in general. |
