When you admit guilt in a court it's because there is evidence against you or you are stupid i guess. Also how many dui's end up not with the perp dead but someone else who was minding there own buissnes sorry but i got no sympathy for that kind of shit. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2426303 She was sleeping in the car as far as what the story reports. Hard to kill when the energy potential isn't there. Refusing a breathalyzer in many states is the same penalty as being found intoxicated. We don't know the particulars. So if you want to make that assumption you go right ahead. I thought being drunk at the wheel was a criminal offence? please point out the leagal documents that say other wise. Sure it is. Please submit this woman's blood analysis. An addmission of guilt was obtained in court don't need anything else, why do you? |
January Wolves User ID: 43552184 United States 10/10/2013 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Shoving inmates around to move them from point A to point B is usually not dept. approved policy & procedure. He should have taken her by the arm and moved her to point B only using the force necessary to do so depending upon her level of resistance. Cop was wrong no matter what this woman did to land in jail and no matter what she did during the booking process up to that point. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 32254156 United States 10/10/2013 01:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I watched the video. There's no excuse for this behavior. None. Nada. Zilch. This officer should be terminated on the spot. Drinking and driving and pulling oneself over voluntarily to the side of the road should not result in a DUI either because the person may not have started out making the best decision but realized they should not be driving and pulled off the road to rest. Some forms of alcohol can take an hour to digest and reach the bloodstream so it's possible to drink too much and not feel the full effect until later. This is also why the cops keep suspects around for a while before breathalyzing them so that blood alcohol levels can peak and they can obtain the highest readings. Currently the law doesn't differentiate between starting out doing the wrong thing and realizing the error of ones ways and due solely to ones own volition trying to do the right thing... compared to someone who doesn't give a damn and starts drinking and driving, realizes down the road they shouldn't be driving, and then goes down the street to kill someone in a head on collision. One would think the law would try to encourage people to do the right thing but it's not about right or wrong or morals or justice or public safety, it's about money. Police shouldn't be passing any moral judgement on this woman, but by throwing this woman across the cell in her socks they have already become judge, jury, and executioner. I hope she gets a ton of money for her own sake, but unfortunately her settlement will be funded by the taxpayers. This boggles my mind because there never seems to be the level of public outcry there should be when the cops do stuff like this. Any settlement comes from the taxpayers but taxpayers seem to forget this just like the cops seem to forget it's their constituents paying their salaries to begin with. Dummies all around and this is why the world sucks. |

GLP is by no means a good cross section of the US. However, this tends to be the response, at least in the United States, when people see the sort of video. Quoting: Nighthawks Source: [link to www.nbcchicago.com] Definitely NOT the way to put someone in a safety cell... That was pretty fucked up. Her arms finally gave way and that's why she got launched. Hell, she might've even done it on purpose for the lawsuit money.
